Laleen watched as the fuming girl brought her hand to slap her and she readied herself.
Her eyes narrowed sharply, ready to stop her hand and give her a slap of her own.
But before she had a chance to do so, she heard Shane's voice coming from behind her.
Looking towards him, Laleen released the breath she didn't know she'd been holding all these while as a sigh of relief left her lips.
His words were calm and seemingly without any form of threat but if one listened carefully, the underlying threat seamed in those encouraging words were enough to send a shiver down Alison's spine.
Instantly her hands froze as she swallowed. Shane was staring right at her and her face got as white as a blank sheet.
She would have cursed if her brain was working properly at that moment but with his presence, everything seemed to have shut down.
"I...I was just..." She stuttered, her hand now shaking as she brought it back to her side.
