PUSH AND PULL

Laleen's eyebrows dipped in a fine blend of emotions. Confusion, disbelief, and annoyance.

It seemed like Amelia after all that had happened didn't have even a shred of guilt for what she did.

She was still saying something when Laleen turned to Shane and feeling her gaze, he tilted his head to face her and smiled.

"Since when were you the culprit, Troublemaker?" His eyes held a mirthful glint as he stared down at her.

Quickly, Laleen's expression contorted as she glared at him.

"Since now!" She replied, her eyebrows deeply knotted.

"Then you should take cover. The fish is coming straight at you" And with that casual remark, he turned away as if whatever was happening had nothing to do with him.

Earlier, when he had mentioned that tonight was going to be a good show, he never guaranteed to the troublemaker that she'd enjoy it as well.

The show was meant for him and him alone.
