WHISKEY CHOCOLATES

Laleen came back a few minutes later with a bright smile on her face. The tense atmosphere she met when she returned made her pause in her tracks for a second, her smile failing.

"Lunch is served now. Come on," she said almost breathlessly as she stared at the both of them.

Elizabeth got up on her feet as if eager to leave immediately. The force she used to stand up was so abrupt that she felt her head sway for a second and she blinked hard.

"Are you okay, Beth?" Laleen called to her.

Noah's lips twitched, his heart racing with anticipation.

'More fun for me' he hummed to himself with a smile.

Standing up as well, he let Laleen lead the way to the dining table.

Laleen laughed nervously, trying to clear the air around them.

"Have a seat"

Noah sat down like a spoiled brat, his back leaning on the chair as he stared at the food like it was filth.
