Having successfully thwarted the Mafia's bank robbery, Gren and Toast were catching their breath in the bustling town square.
The townspeople were slowly returning to their normal activities, the excitement of the recent events still fresh in the air.
Lopa appeared, making his way through the crowd, his suit still on from his recent battle.
He looked relieved but also carried a sense of urgency.
Gren notices Lopa and waves him over.
Gren says
"Lopa! You're just in time. What happened on your end?"
Lopa joined them, his expression serious as he pulled out the glowing artifact he had discovered.
Lopa says
"I found this in an abandoned warehouse on the other side of town. It's a universe fragment, just like the one the Mafia was after."
Toast eyes the artifact, his curiosity piqued.
Toast says
"A universe fragment? What does it do?"
Lopa holds the fragment up, its otherworldly glow casting strange shadows.
Lopa says
"I'm not entirely sure, but I do know it's incredibly powerful. The Enforcers of the Void were guarding it, and they didn't go down easily."
Gren's eyes widened at the mention of the Enforcers.
Gren says

Toast rolls his dice absentmindedly, deep in thought.
Toast says
"So, what's the plan? We can't let something this powerful fall into the wrong hands."
Lopa nods, pocketing the fragment carefully.
Lopa says

Gren looks around at the recovering townspeople and nods in agreement.
Gren says

Toast grins, his confidence undiminished.
Toast says

Lando says

"Meowtrix, purrs out!"
In his hero form, he leaped through the broken window, his claw cannon at the ready. He quickly neutralized one of the hitmen with a precise shot, erasing him from existence.
Gren and Toast provided cover, with Gren linking their minds for better coordination.
Gren says
"Focus on the second shooter! Toast, can you manipulate the odds?"
Toast rolled his dice, a confident smile on his face.
Toast says

The dice landed perfectly, causing the second hitman to trip and drop his weapon. Aron, using his brute strength, charged out and disarmed the assailant, subduing him with ease.
Back inside, Victoria Haines stood up, shaken but unharmed.

Goddess Terminus approached, her divine aura calming the chaos.
Goddess Terminus says

Lando agreed, helping Victoria to her feet.
Lando says

As she spoke, Lando moved through the crowd, his detective instincts on high alert. He had been investigating potential threats ever since the attack at the attorney general's office.
His sharp eyes scanned the crowd, looking for anything unusual.

He continued his search, his gaze falling upon a young beast girl, no older than twelve, standing nervously near one of the buildings overlooking the square.

He decided to approach her cautiously.
Lando says
"Hey there. Are you lost?"
The girl looked up, startled, her eyes wide with fear and innocence.
Beast Girl says
"N-No. I... I'm just waiting for my parents."
Lando's eyes narrowed slightly. Her behavior seemed off, but he couldn't put his finger on why. He continued his questioning, keeping his voice gentle.
Lando says
"What's your name?"
Beast Girl says
"Miara. My parents are over there. I... I think I see them now."
She pointed vaguely towards the crowd, her eyes darting around.
Lando felt a nagging suspicion, but there was no concrete evidence to act on.
He decided to let her be, but kept a close watch on her from a distance.
As the speech continued, Miara subtly moved through the crowd, her small size allowing her to blend in easily.
Lando lost sight of her for a moment and felt a surge of panic. He quickly scanned the area, finally spotting her near the stage, fiddling with something in her coat.
Lando says
"Gren, Toast, keep an eye on the stage. I think I found our threat."
Gren and Toast nodded, their eyes following Miara as she maneuvered closer to the attorney general.
Lando moved quickly, trying to intercept her without causing a scene.
Just as he reached her, Miara turned, her expression suddenly changing.

Miara says
"Mister, I think I dropped my toy. Can you help me find it?"
Lando was taken aback, his suspicion wavering for a moment. He kneeled down, searching the ground, trying to understand her game.
Lando says

Miara pointed to a spot near the stage, and as Lando looked, she quickly slipped something into her pocket. Lando's detective instincts kicked back in, and he realized he had been duped.
Lando says

Before he could react, Miara pulled out a small, concealed knife and slashed at him, catching him off guard.
Lando grunted in pain, stumbling back as blood seeped from a wound on his arm.

Lando says
