I decided to move out of the house but Ryan would not entertain they thought, I also didn't want to live with Xavier under the same roof. I saw how happy he was and how dejected I on the other hand felt. I felt so betrayed, stupid and dumb. I really thought I was a smarty pant but then I got heartbroken in an incest affair. I didn't even have friends to cry on their shoulders I could only take overdose of slipping pills and hope I would sleep my troubles away. School was even worse especially when I saw him flaunting his relationship with meave. I only kept a solemn face trying not to fall apart.

I walked to the cafeteria as usual to grab the sandwich I liked so much when Alec called out to me. I glanced at his direction and realized the whole gang was present, even Xavier. I shrugged and awkwardly took my seat beside him. "What's up Alec" I asked dryly and he smiled at me before replying "did you change your number isabelle because I tried calling you and I couldn't get through to your line" I simply nodded preferring not to answer his question. Rebecca scoffed and said " why did you call her anyways it's not like she has an interest joining the gang " everyone's attention was drawn to me as soon as she said that. I replied saying "well I have been too busy with therapy that I can't attend any social gathering or even parties, my brother knows about this" I said and Xavier who was listening attentively shot me a perplexed glance but I avoided his gaze and stared at Alec who returned my gaze immediately. Meave seemed to notice what was going on and looked at me with an un fathomable expression. I realized the gathering was getting more boring than when I got there. Alec who was of course always gentle manly spoke up" let's go play chess Isabelle, let's do some fun stuff " I laughed and said "do you think chess is fun I mean that boring game with black and white I think it's better to go surfing than doing that shit" I said not realizing that I had given him an open hint to hit on me. Xavier's eyes darkened but I ignored him. Alec smiled and then said " l will pick you up at 5, make sure you show up surfer girl" I nodded and left the gathering finally heaving a sigh of relief.
