First of all, this is the sequel to my previous book, 'The Exiled Lady's Rumoured Tyrant.'.

Rei was a high-ranked lady official in the Qin Empire who was exiled from her empire due to a planned scheming.
 
After spending for about two months in a neighbourhood Kingdom that was said to be ruled by an evil tyrant, her name was cleared and was finally able to return to her homeland.

With the two months spent with that said evil tyrant, she started developing a special to him. Despite that, Rei still decided to return to her homeland.

However, an unexpected event happened, Rei was assaulted and nearly died, the said evil tyrant saved her and sustained a serious injury.

Both lying on the same bed, Rei glanced at that small and slightly childish face of Xi Er, she couldn't help but feel so ashamed of herself that she was having something of negative feelings toward Xi Er who is always such a sweet and naive girl, like how could someone reject such pure-hearted girl?

"Lady Rei..." Xi Er softly called for Rei all of a sudden.

"I always knew that I am not half as capable as Sister An Er, and you like Sister An Er more. I don't know if I could replace Sister An Er's place in your heart but I will give my all out to improve myself to ensure that I will at least be able to maintain the quality of your daily life," said Xi Er with a sincere tone as she stared into Rei's eyes with her round shiny eyes.
