There so much question inside Arno mind right now, he is not the type to think much in the begin with.
'Just how did that-'
"UGH-"
After Arno finished climbing the stair, as he stand firmly on the floor there he can see Ken.. who just thrown up
'Huh, maybe i think too much.. guess he still a kid'
Arno who previously doubt Ken morality, erase all that skeptism in an instant after seeing Ken throw up. Seeing that many people dying infront of his eyes must be quite shocking, even for an adult like him.
.
.
.
"Feeling better?"
Arno approaching Ken from behind, placing his hand onto Ken shoulder.
"Ugh- yeah i think im good now."
Ken answer as wipe his mouth, he still look pale thought
Without wasting any sweat, Arno then continue :
"So.. you had any plan? All of this, is just absurd.."
Arno crouch beside Ken.. following Ken line of sight, Arno witness what just unfold before him right now.
Buildings Fallen, the sky poluted, road destroyed, bunch of Goblins hunting human.. too much thing happening in one day.
Their attention quickly shifted to a faint silhoutte far in the sky
"What's that? a bird?"
Arno squinted his eyes to focus at that flying things once more..
The distance should've been far, yet its still clear enough for them to see.. pair of flappy wings with no feather, its wings almost resemble one that a Bat had. a two-legged winged bird having the hinder part of a serpent with a barbed tail.
"Dragon?"
"No, its a Wyvern."
Ken answer with cold resolve, Wyvern is one of the most famous mythologic being.. just from this distance they could already feel the immense dread pressure as the Wyvern produce loud hisses and throated growls.
Not just one, and not two. there is more than ten of them!
"Do you think we can take them down?"
"Are you dumb?"
"A little bit"
Ken look at Arno, raising one of his eyebrow as if speaking 'Are you serious?' after he just spit on of the most stupid question he ever heard.
"Uhh forget about that, do you have some solution?"
Ken sighing, after a few seconds he answer him immedieatly.
"Did you see that underground tunnel? i think we should go there"
Ken shifted his eyes to the underground tunnel that lead to the station for underground train. Following Ken line of sight, Arno also look at the place Ken pointed at.
Just as they continue analyze the tunnel, there they can saw a few survivors also running inside
"Do you think its a good idea?"
Arno asked Ken, without a second thought.. Ken nodded and answer
"Probably better than here, i dont want to be a lunch for those flying lizard."
After not so long thought, both agree and start discussing their plan.
"Then we can jump from here, land safely, sneak through the side road and remnant of crashed cars."
Ken nod his head, this seems like a good plan.. however, Arno refused
"Cant."
"Wait why!?"
"... Im afraid of heights."
.
.
.
They climbed down the stair, Ren first.. he landed safely, seeing the Goblins still focused on the survivors corps Ken signaled Arno to be quick.
Avoiding the sight of the corpses, Ken and Arno swiftly went back inside the store, after make sure the goblins are left and the store is clear.. they immeadieatly do the most important things
What is it? of course, Its 'Looting'. The world has gone chaotic, even if they didnt get killed what are they gonna do if any of them didnt have the resource to survive?
"What do you think we should get?"
"Just your everyday item. Food that could last long, Water, some medicine including pain killer, and most importantly.. a weapon."
Ken instruction was clear, they began searching.. Ken and Arno bought the backpack from deceased person there
"Sorry"
Ken apologizing first before taking their backpack, emptying it first then began his looting..
.
.
After a while, Ken got everything he need for survive, food, drink, medicine, even utility items such as Flashlight, he also bought Kitchen Knife.. just incase..
"Hey do you think it would be useful?"
Arno ask to Ken, while holding a Baseball bat
"Certainly."
'Damn! where did he got that from? if this was America we could have a firearms..'
Ken got everything he needed, Arno also the same. They swiftly went through the side road, passing the Goblins line of sight, surprisingly, it went smooth enough that they already arrive and descend to the tunnel underground.
Just as they enter the underground tunnel, a heavy fast train pass from the sight in an uncontrolable speed
"CHOO CHOO!! SWOOOOOOOSSSHHHH--"
As the train passed, it made a loud annoying Curve squeal noise.
Ken thought to himself, 'Man.. i was lucky im not in that uncontrolable train, if i was.. ugh-' not a minute passed.. as if the world is shaking, both Ken and Arno fall to the floor
"Tch- another Earthquake!?"
Ken shouted as he covered his own head with his backpack.. the Earthquake went for a whole minute then stopped.. some of the tunnel crumbling down, including the tunnel where the train from before came from
"Is it stopped?"
"Uhh.. Ken, our way out is broke"
Ken look behind him, Fuck! a way out for them is also blocked due to the crumbling infrastructure. taking composure of himself, Ken sigh then answer
"Guess we had to walk through the rail way then"
"You sure? what if there is a train coming at us from behind as we pass through?"
"Dont worry, the tunnel that last train came through was blocked anyway"
After confirming it, Arno just nod.. agreeing to his plan once again.. after all the way out us blocked, there is no other choice left for them.
"Do you bring a flash light?"
"Of course"
"Alright, we're off then."
Ken took out the Flashlight he just looted, jump down to the rail and walk through the tunnel with Arno just a couple step behind him.
.
.

---
On the other side, A man wearing a business casual suit slowly regaining his vision.. just to find that he laying down on a rail
his blurred vision slowly become clearer, he could see the train he just took.. after a second Earthquake the train lost its control.. went outside the rail and crashes, luckily he was thrown outside while the other passenger might, no.. certainly dying there.
as the train engulf in flame, the Man slowly woke up.. brushing the dust off his suit then sigh
.
.
"Another turn then."
