We do not hunt, we cook

The rest of the dinner went well with the three having a lively chatter and trying to understand each other.

Monica and Anthony were excited to have the girl over in the forever silent house, making it feel homey like it once used to. They missed having that.

Ayla could not have been more happier, she finally had someone other than her self to talk with. But that is not what made her happy, the fact that this people did not run away from her or look at her with contempt for how she looked with her black curly hair curled on her head forming a maze with twigs and leaves stuck in it, her skin colored with dirt patches and covered in a stinking deer skin.

She was so happy that this people didn't treat her like the others and wished that she could stay with them and learn to be like them so that she would not have to hide from those kind of people, only if they gave her a chance to.

"Get some sleep, tomorrow we will go to the spa to have you fixed up, if you would like that," Monica told her as she tucked her in and kissed her goodnight.

Ayla did not understand a thing she said but she still nodded an action she learnt during dinner that meant she agreed.

Monica gave her a final kiss and left the room leaving the door open for her incase of anything.

Ayla had never slept on such a soft thing for as long she lived, this bed she was in had so much contrast to her's which was the cold hard ground with a rock as the pillow and big dry leaves to keep the cold away.

In no time she had drifted off to a deep dreamless slumber.

      *****

Ayla was woken up by the warm rays of sunlight caressing her cheek as the light flooded into the room.

Ayla lazily fluttered her eyes open as she sat up only to be met by a risen sun.

She was late! She always woke up before the sun rose, took her bath in a nearby stream then set off to hunt.

She could not go for a bath now but she definitely could go hunting, without giving the room a look she sprinted out in only the nighty given to her by Monica.

She did not even realize that there was a stair case there, making her fall and land on Anthony, who yelped as he hit the floor.

"Are you okay?" Monica run from the kitchen to come help the duo.

"Who you?" Ayla asked confused as Monica helped her up.

"Do you not remember us, my dear?" Anthony asked.

Ayla was about to yell at the man what her name was when she remembered what happened yesterday.

"Sorry me just busy late go hunting," she quickly explained.

"Its okay my dear, but here we do not go hunting, we cook, come on I will show you,"Monica said as she dragged her to the kitchen.

She was making blueberry pancakes and orange juice for breakfast.

"Ayla before you start cooking you must learn how to turn on the oven so as to cook,"Monica explained as she demonstrated what to do.

Ayla was entranced by Monica's cooking that when she was given a chance to do it she tried till she did it the same way Monica did.

Monica loved how she had her undivided attention and that she was a fast learner, and in no time they were done with having breakfast which was delicious by the way, and headed of to get ready for their day at the spa.

       *****

"You look beautiful," Monica said looking at her through the mirror.

"Beautiful," Ayla echoed her while staring at her reflection in the mirror.

Ayla and Monica were at the spa in the local mall. They have been there for about two hours as the staff worked to make a new Ayla.

"You truly worked wonders on her," Monica praised  the manager as she continued gazing at the beauty in front her.

"Your daughter is a natural beauty and it was bound that she comes out amazing," The manager said as she gave her card back.

"Daughter what?"Ayla asked after the manager had walked away.

"A daughter is a ... a little girl to her parents,"Monica tried to explain to her.

"Is that mean me daughter you Anthony?" Ayla asked spinning around to face Monica with her big hazel colored eyes lighting up with hope.

"Of course you are mine and Anthony's daughter whether you decide to stay or leave," Monica spoke softly before giving her a tight hug.

It took Ayla few moments to return the hug.

"What do you say about doing some shopping before we head back home?" Monica asked pulling away from the hug.

"Okay," Ayla uttered with a brilliantly shinning smile on her face at the new word she learnt of this people.

As they were heading to a cloth shop they passed by a food court and Ayla saw one licking an ice cream. She has seen a lot of the girl eating that back home and she had always wanted to taste it.

Looking in the direction Ayla was looking, Monica asked," Do you want ice cream?"

A huge smile gracing her lips she nodded excitedly. Grabbing themselves vanilla ice cream they head to a clothing store.

"Me like this,"Ayla excitedly said as she showed the dress to Monica.

"Then try it out,"Monica urged leading her to the changing rooms.

A few minutes later Ayla came out dressed in a blue floral dress detailed with with golden flowers on the hem of the dress. Complimenting her sun kissed skin making her look simply beautiful. The dress was simple and modest fitting her features perfectly.

"You look amazing my dear. Here put on this shoes," Monica said her eyes full of tears as she looked at her but was actually imagining how her daughter would have looked at this age as she hand her white doll shoes.

"Mother we are back!"

"Quit shouting, you obviously know she's not home." He said slapping the former's head.

"That doesn't mean you hit me,"the former said hitting him back which lead to an argument and head slaps.

"Who you?"
