I like you

Kevin's POV

"Why are they so late," Jason groaned.

We had been gathered in the kitchen waiting for the girls so that we can welcome Ayla to the Miller family and at this point I am starting feel we have been stood up.

"We are here!" A high pitched noise announced getting our full attention.

Even without looking I knew whose voice that was, I could recognize her in a sea of females talking.

Turning around I was blessed with such a site.

She was dressed in her usual colour, black but this time it had bits of other colors. She had a black jumpsuit with a pink bow on her waist. The cloth hugged her well and showed off her curves and the right skin to seduce but also leave a person in imagination. She looked absolutely breathtakingly gorgeous.

"To Ayla," we all toasted before joining the party.

I sat next to a Mason and Stacey  sucking each others face so as to have a clear view of her dancing and drinking.

"I think we should all go to the beach house for the Christmas break,"Stacey suddenly suggested.

"Its gonna be less than 40 degrees, you want us to freeze?" I asked her.

"My bad," she gave that annoying chuckle of hers before joining her lips to Mason's.

To be honest I really don't understand why he is with her. She is like the exact opposite of Diana. How can one go from a girl like Diana to Stacey? But that doesn't matter cause it gives me an opportunity to try.

Turning back to where Diana was dancing I could no longer find her.

Was about to tell the guys that I was going to get drinks when I saw how deep they were to each other and figured its best not to come in between.

I walked to the kitchen hoping I could spot her or her pink tied hair, but I didn't until I was in the kitchen and I saw her outside by the pool.

"What to call you now as you are not wearing black only?"I asked as I sat next to her on the edge my legs dipped in water.

"I don't know maybe my name," she sassed.

"Nah that doesn't feel right."

"How can my name not feel right?"

"Just a few days and I will find out what name suits you," I said handing her a drink.

"What's this?" She asked swirling the pink substance in her solo cup.

"Its fruit punch made by yours truly,"

"It looks like a death mixture," she teased but still drunk it.

"Is it good? Made it from raspberry puree, triple sec, syrup, a mix of vodka and freshly squeezed lemon juice" I told her with a proud smile.

"Its great,"she complimented.

We settled into a comfortable silence for a while.

"Why aren't you in there enjoying the party?" She asked.

"Cause you are out here. What about you?" I asked.

"Loud music, drunk sweaty teenagers sucking each other off isn't my kind of scene," she sighed.

"But you here?"

"Ayla's first time," she replied.

She went back to staring at the pool And I went back to staring at her. With the moon's glow hitting the pool then illuminating her face she looked unreal, and i couldn't bare to just watch from the sidelines.

Slowly I lifted my hand to cup her face turning her to face me, I started running my thumb across her cheek as I uttered the words I have been yearning to say since I first saw her.

"I like you."

       Diana's POV

Arriving to the kitchen, we found everyone huddled up in there probably waiting for us. We would have gotten here earlier if Samantha didn't feel the need to change her clothes again.

Everyone was in there but I couldn't tear my eyes from Kevin. He looked deliciously sexy dressed in black jeans and a grey button up shirt that hugged his muscles reminding me of the view I was blessed with yesterday.

Just remembering how my eyes wondered all over his torso taking in his defined body from where I was, made blood rush to color my face. Thank goodness I had gone all out with applying the blush.

After the toast I ran into the dance floor to ease myself of all those emotions.

After a while of dancing and drinking, the heat become to much and i went outside.

This was the first time I set foot into this house after what he did to me. And to be honest I never thought I would come back here and just been here is reminding me of those memories that I keep buried in.

How we used to play right in this pool, the pool parties we had here. They were amazing and I wish they never ended the way they did.

"What to call you as you are not wearing only black?" Someone pulled me back from those memories.

Kevin, the boy that has been lately invading my thoughts without warning. Despite that fact I was thankful he was here I didn't wanna drown in those memories.

We had our back and forth conversation until he touched my face and said the words I never expected to come out from him.

"I like you," he said.

Not long after uttering those soul shocking words he started to lean down to me. And in an instant his lips collided with mine.

The suddenness of the event had me on a reflex and without meaning to i pushed him in the pool.
