Chapter 3

-Episode 3-

5 days later at the East buildings , Minami and Ren are hunting together with the rest of their group. As they move further , Kojima has given the order to the rest of the group to separate into each group of two and soon scatter around the East Building to find the remaining of Gaoru monsters. Moments later , Minami and Ren walk around the area since they haven't found any monster.

Ren: "I heard there's a type C Gaoru around the area so it is no wonder we're here in such early time."

Minami: "Uuh.....type C ?"

Ren: "Huh ? , you didn't know the types of Gaoru ?"

Minami: "Well , I wasn't aware that Gaoru have different type of them."

Ren sigh.

Ren: "What am I suppose to do with you if I'm gone someday."

Minami: "Hey , don't say it as if you're going to die on me."

Ren: "Hahaha~ I'm just kidding. Okay listen here , there are 5 types of Gaoru that you need to be careful when you find or encounter them. We're start with type E which a small size Gaoru that you fought it before on your first expedition few weeks ago. As for the big one that we fight now are consider as type D due to different size between Type E and D. Type C Gaoru is the one that can shoot spikes from their body which are made out of bones. Type B is the Tank type of Gaoru due their tough skins which can be used as an armor and it takes 7 peoples to bring it down. Lastly , Type A is the bird like Garou that can fly. They are rarely seen in East Building due to limited territories so , they move to North Building to find their new home."

Minami: "I see , thanks to you I have learned so much now."

Ren: "Hehehe~"

Soon after , they hear a shriek like roar and gunshots near them then decide to investigate. When they arrive by sneaking without been spotted , they look around and found nothing.

Minami: "It seems like some of our groups are able to scare it and ran away."

Ren: "I...I guess. But something feel off , why would a big creature would run away ?. It wasn't suppose to behave like that."

Minami: "What do you mean ?"

As Minami look at her , she could see a type C Gaoru appear 7 meters away from them. It start to shoot it's spikes at them without Minami's aware. It reach to them but Ren manage to push Minami away and she get hit at her right calf by one of the spike while the rest of spikes has missed. Minami soon get up and check on Ren as she prone enduring her pain by the wound she suffer.

Minami: "Oh my goodness your wound.... We need to get out of here. Here , lean on my shoulder."

Ren: "No...I'll be fine to stand on my- nngh!!"

Minami: "You're going to bleed out. Just give me your hand."

Ren: "...Alright."

Soon after , he manage to help her up then slowly retreat from the area. Moments later , they finally arrive at the assembly point where Kojima and the group gathered.

Minami: "Someone please help her. We need a medkit to check up her wound."

Kojima and the group look at her and surprise when they see a spike stuck through her right calf. seconds later;

Group 3 member #1: "Look , over there."

Group 3 member #2: "No , it can't be..."

Kojima: "!?..."

They see a type C Gaoru appear far from them and see their location had been expose. It proceed to let out a shriek roar calling out it's army of type D Gaoru. Kojima look at both of them with disappointment;

Kojima: "The monster had followed her blood trail and you bring it here , to us. Everyone , we must retreat now at once cause that Gaoru has spotted us."

As Kojima ordered them to retreat back to Sanctuary , everyone start to run for their life. As it saw them running , it proceed to shoot its spikes to them killing almost half of the group. They soon begin to run in panic leaving Kojima and them behind. He look at them for a moment;

Minami: "Sir , please bring her back to Sanctuary. Help us..."

Kojima didn't say anything and begin to run away for safety leaving both of them behind.

Minami: "Sir wait!!"

Ren: "We need to go , Minami-kun. Its army are going to be here sooner if we don't run."

Minami: "...Right.."

He help her up then run away as fast as they can to avoid being seen by its army. After they're been running for 5 minutes non-stop , they begin to stop and catch their breath for a moment.

Ren: "It's no good , they're going to catch up if we continue on running. We need to find a way to hide from them until they're leaving."

Minami: "Okay."

They continue to run and soon after , they finally found a container that seems big enough for them to hide. Minami open the door of the container.

Minami: "It's empty. Alright , we can go in and- "

Suddenly , Ren push him inside the container then close its door locking him inside.

Minami: "Hey , what are you doing ?. Ren , please open the door. Hey Ren don't do this..."

Ren sit and lean in front of the container door and close her mouth with her hands as she begin to cry silently. Its army soon find her and slowly reaching toward her. Meanwhile , Minami is waiting inside for her to open then the door begin to shakes as he hear the sound of an army of Gaoru. He wanted to scream for her but he can't because it will hear him so he lean at the end of the container wall then sit as he cry silently and cover his ears. He knew that Ren is not going to survive as he see blood leak inside the container. Thus , he keep on cry for the loss of his dear friend.
