Chapter 33

Julie:

Sitting at the dining table, I cradled Angel in my lap as we enjoyed our meal. "Hey, Sara, Mom and I discussed something the other day, and we thought it would be a great idea to go on a family vacation for a few days, if you're okay with it."

"That sounds fantastic! Why don't we invite Alex's family too? It would be cool, and I could get to know his sister better."

"Sure, Mom, can Angel come? I just want her to experience the beachside," I inquired.

"Of course, love. But what about Mary's parents? Wouldn't they mind their grandkid staying here?"

"I don't think so. Mary said it's not a problem; she just wants some time with them. Besides, if we all go on this vacation, Angel can spend time with me and with them too. Don't you think?"

"Hmm, okay, Sara. Call Alex and check with his family. Meanwhile, let's start eating before dinner gets cold. I don't want that little girl over there starving because of you guys, so eat," my mom ordered.
