Julie:
"Okay, baby, let's go shopping."
After breakfast and settling the bill, I added two extra cookies for Angel. Despite having just met her, Angel already liked Maggie. Walking over to them, my head started aching. It subsided after a few seconds, and I felt ready to hit the shops.
"Okay, ladies, I'm ready. Let's hit the shop." Picking Angel up and taking Maggie's car keys, we headed out, saying our goodbyes to Nancy. Sitting in the back with Angel on my lap, a troubling headache returned, more painful this time. Closing my eyes for a few minutes, it eased, and I looked out the windows. Cowboys on horses dotted the landscape, training for their acts. It was spectacular, knowing they spent hours perfecting their routines.
"We are here," Maggie said, snapping me out of my thoughts. The parking lot was empty, likely because it was a weekday. Picking up Angel, we found a shopping cart, and when we did, I adjusted her little chair in it. We headed inside the shop.
