Chapter seventeen

Miran was caught up performing the mundane tasks of serving food and drinks at Lauren's family restaurant. He groaned as he wiped down the table, annoyed after dealing with some messy customers that left. The clatter of plates and chatter of customers filled the air, but his mind was elsewhere. He was bored with the work atmosphere.

At that moment, the bells jingling at the door announced a new arrival as Miran glanced at Mavis walking through. Miran took a prolonged look at her, taking in the details of her appearance. Her hair was tied back with a white bow, with the front strands of her hair framing her beautiful face. Miran’s eyes wandered beneath her white skirt, fixating on her legs. He wouldn’t deny the attraction he felt. He thought her legs were perfect, not too fat but not skinny either, they were just right.
