Chapter nineteen

Miran was sitting next to a quiet Emin during their lunchtime, he looked so lost in thought and barely touched his food. Miran sighed at his friend’s state following what happened at the wedding party. “It’s just a girl man, forget it.” He urged Emin.

Emin shot him a look from the corner of his eyes before pulling his gaze back to stare into the distance, “of course you’d think that about her.”

“Well guess what? She got a bit upset and started acting like a crybaby. It was never that deep. Get over it.” Miran commented in a bitter tone, insulting Mavis too. He couldn’t get over his bruised ego that she caused by pulling away in the middle of kissing him.

At that moment, Mavis walked in the lunch hall, without her friends this time. The two boy’s eyes followed her movements. Emin swallowed a lump in his throat, before pulling his gaze away. But Miran’s gaze remained fixated on her, he left Emin’s side to chase after her.
