Chapter thirty two

Ever since the airport’s events, Miran’ life took another turn, for the worse, that is. He couldn’t bring himself to go into work anymore, merely wearing his police uniform reminded him of Bruno, reminded him of the meeting with his father in Kurdistan, of Viyan and all the other horrible acts he committed against the revolutionists and civilians. He resigned from his position as a police officer, even after he was offered a promotion to be a police inspector. He wanted to blame his policing career for everything, but he knew that he couldn’t find another scapegoat to deflect the blame on like he did with his dad before. Miran had finally had the realisation that the problem was within him, and justifying and deflecting wasn’t something that could help him anymore.
