The Birth Of A Bot

The next day . . . 

I walked into Jessie's lab as she had requested me there and she was waiting for me. "Liz, just the boss i wanted to see", Jessie said. "What did you call me here for again", I said. "Were all ready to start some test on creating this super robot", Jessie said. "Finally, lets get this show on the road already", I said. "Where should we have the bot preform these test", Jessie said. "Take him to the testing room, that way he can't deal any damage to the building", I said. Jessie and I then picked up the robot and took him to the testing room. A place where we test out new projects like serums, vaccines and all the others. We took this Bot there so he couldn't damage anything in the building. Once we got to the testing room, we locked the bot in there and began the test. "Subject, RB1, Test, 1, begin", Jessie said as she started up the test. This test was pretty simple, just climb up a 15ft wall. This bot walked up to the wall and put it's hands on it as it climbed up the wall on it's own and with such speeds as well. "Was he bitten with a radioactive spider or something", Jessie said. "Unless it was from another dimension, nan", I said. We then started test number two. This was a more difficult test as this bot had to climb and jump off a wall to get to a ledge yet again. This bot then climbed up the wall as normal and then pushed off with it's legs never touching the ground. "Amazing", I said. It was like all i had worked towards had came true. I had made a super solider. Something that would go on to defend the world if this was supported enough. I had finally made Dr. Simmons proud of me. I was gonna live up to my potential and i was gonna do it right. "So that clears it", Jessie said. "Yes indeed. We have made a super solider", I said. "Woah woah woah there. Did you just say a super solider", Jessie said. "Uhh yeah, that was the plan", I said. "We never agreed to using this bot for anything like that", Jessie said. "Well I'm gonna do it anyway. There's a press conference coming up and I'm gonna show the world a solider", I said as i took the bot out of the testing room. Just then, i felt a little something in my stomach. "I'll be right back", I said as i went to the bathroom. Just then, i heard the door opening as another person entered the room. I was able to hear from the bathrooms but not very clearly. I heard Jessie and a guy speaking. "She wants to use this bot as a solider, she might even make more if we let this happen you know", I heard what sounded like Jessie but i couldn't be sure. "Don't you worry, I will find a way to stop her, even if it means going to extremes", I heard a man speaking. I couldn't take more of this as i opened the door to find Jessie wrapping up the testing. I had no proof so i didn't say anything. "You coming Jessie", I said as i walked out of the room. "Uh yeah", Jessie said as she picked the bot up as we got out of the basement. 

A few hours later . . . 

I was carrying the bot in my hands as i walked to the conference room. Once i got there, i saw that all of the executives were there. "Ms. Gravely, we have been expecting you", One of the executives said. "Right away", I said as i took a seat at the head of the table. "I expect that you have something to show us so we don't close this business", the same executive said. "Why yes i do", I said. "Then show us already. We don't have all day", a different executive said. "Right, what me and a former employ have been working on is this super solider. This is a robot that can withstand any attack tossed at him", I said as i noticed the executives looking interested. "Go on", all of the executives said. "This is a bot that can walk on walls, walk underwater and has bionic abilities", I said. "Could you care and show us these so called, abilities", The same executive said. "Right away", I said as i turned the bot on. I then informed the bot to climb up on the nearest wall and he did just that. He put his hands on the wall and started to climb the wall with a whole lot of speed and skill. I then noticed that the executives looked very impressed with this as i instructed the bot to come down. "I have to say that i am very impressed with this bot. This solider will be America's greatest defense in years", The executive said. "Well me and the employ have been working very hard on this for quite some time", I said trying not to blush. "Tell you what, I know some people in the army who would die for more of these bots. Could you make more of these bots? I would say that four should be enough with different abilities as well", the executive said. "I would be honored to help", I said. "Very good. I'm sure that the army would be very thankful for your donation", the executive said as they all left the room. I didn't believe this would work. I didn't think that they would like the bot and now they want me to make three more. This was amazing as the company wasn't gonna go bankrupted anymore. "I couldn't wait to tell Jessie the good news.

I went down to Jessie's lab as she was working on some DNA when i came in. "What do you want Liz", Jessie said. "The higher ups love the super solider", I said. "Why should i care? That wasn't the deal", Jessie said. "That doesn't matter anymore, they want us to make three more of these and we need to start working on them now", I said. "Well I can't work with that. Tell them that we didn't agree on a solider but a bot to assist", Jessie said. "I can't do that", I said. "Your my best friend, we've known each other for years and this is how you act", Jessie said. "It comes with the job", I said. "I thought i could trust you", Jessie said. I stood there in shock as to what Jessie had just said to me. "W...What", I said. "During our time in my entire life, i liked it when you were there by my side. You made me smile, i made you laugh, we were perfect for each other", Jessie said. "This means nothing right now. We need to make these bot's", I said. "I just wanted us to get along right now", I said. "What are you even talking-", I said as i was cut off. "I WAS GOING TO PROPOUSE WHEN YOU BECAME CEO", Jessie said. We both stood there in shock as to what Jessie had just said. "What? You wanted to propose? As in marriage? I can't marry", I said in shock. "I though i was ready and saw you as my love interest. I knew we both carried about each other and i didn't want to wait but you were so busy and when that Oliver came in, i wanted to propose before...neverminded. You wouldn't want to listen or understand me", Jessie said as she got up and headed to the door. "Wait Jessie, we can talk this out", I said as i tried to get Jessie to listen to me. "I'm sorry Liz, i thought you could see things from my perspective but i guess you see what's best for you. Have a nice life", Jessie said as she opened the door and closed it. "Jessie...What...what have i done", I said as i sat down on the floor and tears began to come down from my face. I can't believe i had just done that. I was to blind to see things from my best friend's point of view. I was to selfish at the end. Jessie...what have i done?
