The sun glinted off my golden scales and armor as my entourage swam into view. My powerful tail propelled me through the crystal waters, parting the crowds gathered along the coral-lined streets. Excited whispers rippled through the onlookers.

"Make way for the prince!" shouted my herald, his voice booming through the water. I swam at the head of the procession, back straight and head held high. My golden hair flowed behind me like a cape. Muscles rippled under my sun-kissed skin with each sweep of my navy tail. Tattoos marking my achievements adorned my arms.

Around me swam a dozen guards and advisors, their armor freshly polished, some bearing standards embroidered with my crest - a shark with a crown. Our synchronized movements spoke of strength and discipline. As we passed, the crowds erupted into cheers and applause. Parents lifted their children to glimpse the famous prince. I acknowledged them with a regal wave.

My sharp blue eyes scanned the adoring faces. The Merfolk lined the coral streets, their eyes wide with awe.

"The prince is here!" a young merboy cried, his green tail flicking excitedly. Around me, the crowd buzzed with anticipation. I raised a hand in greeting, flashing a dazzling smile that didn't reach my cold blue eyes. My warriors fanned out behind me, stone-faced and imposing; this was the display of power and strength that I was born to lead.

The procession passed in a blur of color and pageantry. When it ended, the crowd dispersed slowly; voices lowered in hushed speculation about my future as their prince. I watched as the princess I was to marry swam away, conflicted, but my mind was already set on the power and glory that awaited me.

"Quite a reception," I remarked to my captain. "As expected for one of my stature." The captain nodded. "They await your leadership eagerly, my prince," I smirked, pride swelling in my chest. These people knew power when they saw it. Soon, I would have it all - the throne, the kingdom, the princess. No one would stand in my way. As my entourage swam into view, the sun glinted off golden scales and armor. Their powerful tails propelled them through the crystal waters, parting the crowds gathered along the coral-lined streets. Excited whispers rippled through the onlookers.
