Chapter 36: One To Four

Mateo might be killed! The thought of Mateo possibly ending up like those two wolves forced Clara to force herself to open her eyes. She saw a wolf attempting to ambush Mateo!

A piece of skin and flesh was torn off Mateo's back!

"No!" Clara screamed in shock, her heart aching. Tears streamed down her face. "Stop it! Mateo..." It was all her fault! Mateo could be killed. As the two wolves continued their assault, Mateo struggled more and more.

Another wolf was taken down by Mateo, and its tail was cruelly torn off. At this point, Mateo's face was covered in blood. His brothers were also injured. Diego grabbed a wooden stick from the ground, fiercely swinging it towards Mateo. Mateo tried to block with his bare hands, and the sound of the wooden stick breaking and Mateo's pained grunt echoed.
