Separation

Feng Shao squinted his eyes open only to see that he was somehow put in a room. Although the room was a little cold he liked how it looked. The white cotton blanket covering half of his body felt very warm.

"You're awake, Master asked you to join them in the hall." He jerked upwards after hearing that familiar voice. He had come to hate it. It was so annoying.

"Master? Who is that?" He wondered not knowing that he had said it aloud.

"You will know when you get there." The boy replied showing a little attitude.

Feng Shao made his way to the hall. He could see beautiful flower beds on the sides of the pathways which he was walking on. He could also smell the calming fragrance. And some medicinal herbs used merely for the purpose of decoration.

The sun was shining so brightly with a wonderful breeze accompanying the heat that was making multiple hazes on the soils. It was a wonder as to why those flowers were thriving nicely in such a weather.

"We're here." The little boy announced in a bored tone.

The older one looked up to see a wooden plaque with beautiful calligraphy written ' Yuan Hall'.

"Master, I have brought him to you." Feng Shao peeked from behind the young man's shoulder only to see a slander hand indicating for them to enter. When he was walking inside he caught a glimpse of Lui Xian and decided to sit further away from him.

"I would like to welcome you and I want to apologise for the trouble we have caused you." Feng Shao raised his head after hearing a feminine voice from the person adorned in black with a veil covering the face.

"'I had thought his Master was a male." Feng Shao commented in a low whisper barely heard by anyone.

"Apology accepted but do you mind if I ask something." He continued on, many questions buderning his mind.

"Please go on."

Feng Shao didn't hesitate and asked, "Where is this place and also were you the one who brought us here?"

"No, I am afraid not. My apprentice found you straying at the boundary and attacked you for which I regret."

After hearing quite a disappointing reply Feng Shao picked up his tea and took a sip. All he wanted was to leave the place and return home. And he had also to ditch the man opposite him. He had enough for today.

Suddenly there was a cough at the entrance and a young man probably in his late twenties with braided hair ran to the hall after hearing that a familiar acquaintance had graced the small kingdom with his visit.

"Xian! Long time."

Lui Xian had been quiet all this time. He had a cup of tea in his hand which he would here and there take a sip to appease himself. When he heard an excited voice calling for him, he indifferently looked over before turning away and taking another sip.

"Who are you?" He didn't care if he was hurting the other person's feelings at all. He only wanted to go back to Wu Capital. To a place he was comfortable enough to call home.

"Sis he is being cruel to me. .....sob ....sob" Wei Wei felt embarrassed to see her little brother being treated like that but she had nothing to say. She had also been in the same situation. They had been sitting for three hours, and no body had even uttered a single word to each other. Thank heavens Feng Shao rescued her from being bored to death.

"Shush... little brother behave. Master Lui do you mind if you can stay here for a couple of days whilst we look for a way to send you back. Winter is coming soon and it won't be easy finding a suitable horse carriage for you." She asked while looking at the chinese calendar on one of the walls.

".....Don't mind me, I am leaving just after this. I have urgent business to attend." Lui Xian insisted not wanting to stay a second longer.

"Huh what business, would it hurt to stay." Feng Shao could not help but interrupt after seeing that he was being stubborn for no reason. And also he had been acting like a spoilt child since the argument.

Of course, they were enemies but still, he was so confusing.

"..."

Lui Xian glared at him but didn't say anything more. He stood up and went outside. "Is he always like this?" Wei Wei asked feeling a little bit awkward. She had seen that he had some problems but not to this point.

"As far as I have known him yes but no at the same time. We have only been together for less than a month so I wouldn't know."

He looked at the direction the other had left in and sighed lowly. He knew that Lui Xian would not be returning and all he could do was wait to go back.

After rushing out Lui Xian looked around and found a path to follow. He didn't need a horse what he needed was to climb up the mountain and exit through that cave he had seen not too far away. He dusted his robes and prepared to leap up and use his flying skills then leave this horrid place.

He breathed in and out and just followed his plan til he was outside. It had started to darken with clouds threatening to bring astounding rain. These clouds had accumulated blocking the sun that had just been shining brightly. He looked up to see drops of rain falling one by one until they increased in number wanting to obstruct him from going from that place but he had to go.

His sword had been taken away and all that remained on him was his clothes worn on his body. He took on a random direction. And all he thought of was his return to his beloved's side.
