Chapter 99 : Midori's Thoughts

When morning came, Mai crept down the staircase with a pounding heart in her chest and a shopping bag in her hands.

The construction workers had yet to arrive, so she planned to buy some breakfast from the nearest food stall.

Her Ojou-sama was pregnant. She must not go hungry!

Mai's jaw dropped as she reached the bottom of the stairs. The house resembled a chaotic warehouse, overflowing with wooden delivery boxes of all shapes and sizes. The kitchen counter, too, was overrun by a mountain of mysterious packages, all wrapped in brown paper and exuding an aura of intrigue.

As if that wasn't bizarre enough, three men were sprawled unconscious around the house in various states of disarray. One snored on the brand-new living room couch, another sprawled across the dining table, and the last one slumped against the entrance door, looking like he'd fallen asleep while guarding the house from robbers.
