Planning A Date

Ever since Elara found out that Vincent could walk, he had been gradually discarding his wheelchair, especially when they were at home. Tonight, Vincent confidently strode into the bedroom, finding Elara deeply engrossed in her laptop.

"How was your day?" he greeted, his voice filled with genuine interest.

Elara glanced up from her screen, a faint smile playing on her lips. "Okay, I guess," she replied, her tone somewhat indifferent.

Vincent sensed there was something Elara wasn't sharing, waiting patiently to see if she would open up about the recent poison incident. He had heard about it through the grapevine but wanted to give Elara the opportunity to confide in him.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Elara asked, noticing Vincent's probing gaze.

"I heard about the poison incident at work," Vincent admitted, choosing his words carefully.
