NEVER HAVE I EVER

January 21st, xxxy

S.C HAS A FROWN on. She stands like a guard, arms crossed, chin up, looking down at them as if they are ants. It is afternoon, there is no snow from the sky but they sit cross-legged in a circle on a grass of snow.

In their middle is a tray of butterscotch biscuits they baked in culinary class today, a large jug of lemonade and twelve plastic cups.

It had been Rana's greatest idea to play a game of Never Have I Ever and Cade's brightest idea of inviting the runts to join them. They hadn't argued because they thought the runts would say no.

The friends ended up in a plot twist. The runts hadn't said no and now, they're stuck with eight runts that keep ruining the game. At least Lata thinks they are ruining the game even though her friends look like they're enjoying themselves.

Lata won't be thinking this if S.C would stop glaring down at them as if she's holding them prisoner.
