VEINS POP IN BLUE'S FOREHEAD

March 5th, xxxy

"DO YOU THINK THEY put us together to see when we will claw each other's faces out?" North Star begins as he sinks his teeth into the sugar coated doughnut.

"Seeing as no one is joining us, I say they are."

Blue Sun agrees as he adds sugar to his tea, stirs and tastes and adds two more spoonful. "They are trying to eat, eavesdrop, engage in lively chatter and failing on all three."

North Star nods. "They probably betted on you. It is a nice morning. I don't think even our spite will dampen your mood."

Blue Sun leans over and clicks their mugs. In borrowed friendliness, they eat in silence, their audience bored and carries on.

No eyes on them and Blue Sun humming his satisfaction at the sweetened breakfast, North Star wipes sugar from his hands, cross his legs, reclines backwards and carries his mug of warm milk tea.
