"My name is Qin Yin," Qin Yin replied.
Just as she stuffed a pickled plum into her mouth, Niuniu suddenly started coughing violently, her face flushing red with the force of it.
Zhang Zheng, who was in the midst of discussing the design elements for the current project, gave Niuniu a nasty look as if annoyed by the interruption.
Feeling embarrassed, Niuniu quickly bowed her head and spat out the pickled plum. After steadying her breaths, she whispered to Qin Yin, "So you're Qin Yin? You're President Nan's wife?"
Qin Yin wasn't surprised. Who in Jiang City didn't know the name Qin Yin? Yet very few people truly knew her.
"Don't I look the part?" Qin Yin asked.
"You're a bit different from what I had imagined," Niuniu said, scrutinizing Qin Yin. "Before you arrived, everyone was discussing you, even betting whether you would come to work today or not."
"Who won?" Qin Yin tilted her head, asking in a soft voice.
