Qin Yin pretended to have just woken up when Ning Sister returned and, opening her eyes, she said, "Ning Sister, I'm a bit hungry."
Ning Sister opened the breakfast brought by Nan Sichen one by one, with all items being rather light.
Qin Yin ate silently while Ning Sister watched her, seemingly with something to say but hesitating, wanting to tell Qin Yin that the breakfast was from Nan Sichen but ultimately swallowing the words that reached her lips.
Qin Yin ate each dish, drank each sip of porridge, and chewed each dumpling with utmost seriousness. She ate everything very thoroughly but never mentioned who brought the breakfast.
At noon, Nan Sichen still brought over food, and again handed it to Ning Sister, without going into the room himself.
Ning Sister could hardly stand it and stopped Nan Sichen, "Achen, Yinyin hasn't said she doesn't want to see you. Why won't you go in to see her?"
