Nan Feng, in her frustration, chased the group of mischievous children for a distance, until they'd run far away, before she returned.
At that point, Ye-Ge also looked up at her. To alleviate her embarrassment, Nan Feng pretended to angrily scold, "Those rascals really annoy me, spreading needless gossip."
Ye-Ge was busy hammering bamboo stakes, due to the hot weather, his clothes were completely soaked, clinging to his body, his muscles even more pronounced.
Nan Feng, watching his focused look, had thought he wouldn't respond and was about to continue digging the irrigation trench, only to hear Ye-Ge suddenly ask, "Does their gossip truly upset you?"
What did he mean?
Shouldn't she be upset?

Nan Feng was taken aback for a moment, but Ye-Ge was already busying himself again, clearly not expecting her to respond.
She watched his back for a while, then continued digging.
