*Trinity's POV*
“No, wait! Christiana!” I called out, hoping to keep her on the phone.
I heard a sigh on the other end. “What?” she demanded.
I put the call on mute for a second as all of the cops started moving about, speaking into their radios.
"You got it? Where is she?" I asked, my heart in my throat.
"She's at the hotel right behind the hospital," the first officer told us. Matthew and I moved as if to leave. "No, I need you guys to stay here and stay on the phone with her. I don't want her to get suspicious and run. We won't get this chance again."
I nodded. I understood. As soon as they left, I unmuted the phone, worried that Christiana would hang up on me soon if she didn't hear me.
"It's not wrong for us to want to move on with our lives," I told Christiana. And for the first time, I actually believed my words.
"Yes it is!" Christiana yelled again. "If it is that easy for you all to move on then you never loved him in the first place!"
