*Trinity's POV*
It was near impossible for me to let go of Michael and to leave him at the daycare again. Sadly, though, I didn't have a choice. We had to get back to the courthouse for Matthew to make his testimony.
I thought about not going, but after everything Matthew had done for me, I knew that I needed to be there for him. It was the least I could do.
However, I did convince him to let my mom take Michael for the rest of the day. I would just feel much more comfortable with her having him than daycare. At least until they got the glitches figured out.
It was all still a little too convenient for my liking, and maybe I had just been around Christiana for too long during all this court time, but I was starting to feel paranoid.
So we called my mom, who was more than willing to help, and made our way over there.
"Speaking of parents, I forgot to tell you," Matthew paused. "My mother asked us to come for dinner on Thursday, and I told her we would be there."
