*Trinity's POV*
The wood felt cold and rough as I sat there staring out at the audience. They definitely didn't want there to be anything comfortable about testifying.
My eyes found Arielle and Lynn, along with Matthew, and my parents and I felt myself relax slightly. I went out of my way to make sure not to look in the direction of Christiana. I've been feeling more confident lately, but I didn’t need to test it out on her this early.
The state attorneys started off by questioning me. It was much the same as the last trial we did and what the last witnesses had done. They basically asked for me to tell the events as they unfolded.
It wasn't easy, but I got through the worst day of my life and looked over to the jury to see a lot of sympathetic faces staring back at me. Almost all of the jury members were parents themselves, so they understood exactly what turmoil I had gone through.
Was still going through.
