Do I still hate him?

"Chill bro, Damian and I just bumped into each other, we were just apologizing for our clumsiness, isn't that right Mr Damian"

 "Yes ofcause"

Why would he give Han such a smile. He never smiled at me and I've known him for probably a whole day and he randomly smiles at someone who he just me five minutes ago.

"Your apology was long enough, all is forgiven, Damian wait for me in the car, this time be obedient,"

There he did it again. This man could switch from angry and jerky to soft to jerky again. How was I supposed to understand him.

"If you ever decide to use your beauty, I have a modeling company and would be willing to take you as one of my models. I believe being model pays more than, what your doing now. Here is my card"

 "That won't be necess..."

"Thenks for the offer but I love my job"

Lu was enchanted. Any other person would have jumped for that opportunity. This boy was just too interesting.Did he really love his job that he has just started working less than twenty-four hours.

"If you ever changed your mind, don't be shy to give me a call"

With that Han walked away and Lu just stood there wondering what went around Damian's head. He had never before met someone like him. What was this feeling in his chest. Was it still hate.

"I'll wait in the car" Damian said as Lu noded in approval and watched him go back to the car.

Lu couldn't help but smile but then the thought of this family dinner just crushed his spirit. Another dinner another torture. What was new.

..........................

"Please enjoy your meals" The chef anounced and the family dinner began

Family dinners like this in the Chu family wasn't about coming home and seeing everyone or being one big happy family, it was a chance for the wives to praise their kids Infront of Mr. Chu to gain favour. Well that wasn't the case with Lu. The fact that his mother wasn't with him and on top of that being favoured by his father, kind of made him the target of hate among the wives.

"Han I heard you were nominated for best movie director,"

And just like that, the bragging began. Showing of each new step their child had made. This is how it always went.

"Well, Gu was invited by the president to discuss his nomination to parliament,"

 "Wow congrats bro,"

 "Back at you"

The wives might have always been on each other's neck. But the siblings never once had bad blood among themselves.

"How about you Lu, I heard you are an owner of another company, how is that going along"

"Just the same father, nothing new to me"

"Aah, nothing new, look at you, all this work at a young age. You don't even have time to date. When was the last time you were in a relationship. I'm just looking out for you"

Lu knew that all she wanted was that her son to be declared the Chu heir again...Caring for him, what a joke.

"He looks good to me, but you mother is right, you shouldn't forget to enjoy life and love. I heard Miss Harriet showed interest in you. You should invite her to dinner sometimes."

Lu, had been avoiding the dating thing for a long time now and the fact that his step mother brought it up, was there something she planning this time.

"Father, I still have a long time to think about dating and life, but for now I'd like to focus on building my empire,"

"Look at your son, stubborn as ever, that's why I feel giving him more responsibilities is not good for him,"

And there it was. She wouldn't let this chance pass her so easily.

"What are you saying woman, I gave him everything because I can trust in with my business. I'll you saying my decision was wrong?"

"That's not what I meant, I was just concerned for him. Let's continue with dinner, the dessert please"

And that is how it always ended with my step mother's hatred for me being stronger, awkward silence and a not so normal dinner. Lu was used to the pattern.
