Chapter 40

Faced with the blizzard snake's grave intimidation, Regalus struggled to keep his posture and didn't push his luck by going closer to Atasha. Heaving a deep sigh, he spun around to the corner where he was resting. 

"W-wait! Did you just say a month? A-are you saying that we stayed inside the mist for almost a month?" Atasha's voice resonated and stopped the man in his tracks. 

"Huh? Don't you know how to count?" Regalus asked innocently and flicked his finger with a zitting sound. 

A lighting spark was shot towards a small rock near his resting spot and created light after a vague wisp of smoke rose and faded. Miniature lightning zaps could be seen rotating around the rock which soon projected a glow akin to a swirling fluorescent bulb.

In an instant, the gloomy corner of the cave was illuminated.
