It would be good if he wasn't caught but he was caught anyway! Why do it if you can't pull it off? Isn't he just asking for a beating?!

Regalus clenched his teeth as he glared at the small glutton. The boy was truly an idiot and a ball of stress, who only knew how to eat! 

Because of his mistake, he was now in the hands of this insufferable Howl, who was a downright schemer to the bones! 

If Regalus doesn't pull back now, who knows if that birdbrain would attribute the boy's blunder to him being a feral and start attacking him?

Or maybe he was already planning something worse than he could anticipate that was why he led them home!

Regalus was filled with worries and lost in his thoughts when Howl's low yet oppressive voice echoed and penetrated his ears. 

"Halt," Howl said, his tone cold and stern, as he fixed his piercing gaze on him and the boy.
