Chapter 252 Cursed Mountain full of Divine Treasures(1)

Early the next morning, all the Angels woke up to commence operations. They had gone into a bit more discussion the previous day, and the team for this mission has gain two additional members, Synthia and Mark. Mark was chosen for a support role due to his [Nature Affinity], which allowed him to enhance the effects of others affinity. Synthia was chosen so that they could clear the mountain even faster, time wasn't a luxury they had right now. The reason more of them didn't go was because they needed some individuals to stay back and keep the humans in check. And also, they weren't sure if Askalad has left a spy to watch them or not, since he promised that he would come back to kill them later. The arrogant prick.

"Alright remember, do not use too much of your holy energy and make sure to use stealth when you are going to the mountain." Sera reminded them

"Don't worry, we'll be fine." Castiel said with a smirk

"We'll be careful, don't worry." Synthia said and the five of them headed out. Before leaving the mansion, Kate used her [Light Affinity] to twist the light around them, which created a bubble of darkness around them. This ability was called [Light Shroud] and it was a stealth ability that was given by [Light Affinity], allowing the caster to hide their aura. But, even with her training, Kate couldn't extend the shroud enough and maintain it until they reached the mountain, which is where Mark came in.

Holding out his hand towards Kate, her body glowed a full green colour and she activated her [Light Shroud] ability, successfully hiding all of them. The five of them flew towards the mountain which was three kilometers away and arrived in thirty minutes.

"Alright, you're up Simon." Synthia said and Simon nervously moved forward. Placing his hand on the mountain, he sent out waves of holy energy, looking for any pre-existing tunnels within the mountain. He had already been told that there are most likely demonic beasts that live inside the mountains, and they might have dug tunnels big enough for them to use.

"Here." He said after flying up the mountain. He could sense a tunnel in the middle section of the mountain and quickly used his [Earth Affinity] to open up the mountains wall, revealing the tunnel.

"Good job." Castiel said as he entered the tunnel, followed by the others. They carefully walked through the tunnels as Simon continued to use [Vibration Sense] to try and detect any nearby beasts.

[Stop.] Simon said through [Telepathy], and everyone stopped. Simon placed his hand on the ground, and sent out another vibration through the ground to confirm what he sensed. And indeed, he could sense could sense three large creatures rushing towards them.

[I can sense three creatures heading towards us. They kind of look like ants.] Simon said

[Alright, everyone take out your weapons.] Synthia said and immediately Simon took his axe off his back, Kate unsheathed her duel swords and Mark took out his spear. Synthia and Castiel geared up as well. As they prepared for battle, the three creatures came into view and indeed they were ants. They were at least half their size with red carapace and black streaks on their backs.

[Simon take the one in the middle, Kate the one on the right and Mark, the one on the left.] Castiel ordered when he noticed that the ants were only tier 3s . The three of them immediately charged towards the ants. The ants spat a jet of acid towards them, but they quickly jumped over it and used their wings to boost them forward before stabbing them in the head.

[Excellent. Now let's continue.] Synthia said
