Chapter 274 Meeting the mother

Soon, the rest of the day past, with nothing major happening. Colin checked up on each group and things were progressing perfectly, Lily's plan to build the wall was unfolding perfectly, the mining operation was going perfectly, and the Bartus guild brought back the first batch of cursed ores. They started creating the tools needed to forge the cursed equipment for the family, but they only had just enough for that. Leia and her survey team came back, reporting that they found found a large number of tier 4s within the forest. It seems that as the family grew stronger, so do the other demonic creatures and Colin had no doubt that he will run into tier 5 beasts soon. Melissa continued her experiments for the rest of the day, trying different modifications to get the plants to grow properly. With nothing major to do for the rest of the day, Colin decided to use the time to cultivate, gaining another level.

"Hmm, good morning." Alice said as she woke up and looked beside her to see Colin lying next to her

"Good morning." Colin said and Alice sat up and was about to leave the room, but Colin held her hand

"You don't have to leave just yet." Colin said and pulled her back onto the bed, causing her to blush

"So, how was planning yesterday? Anything major happened?" Colin asked, despite already knowing the answer

"No, we simply discussed the most effective way to use the limited amount of people with [Earth Affinity] and the runes that Lily is gonna carve into the wall. We should be able to start building today." Alice said and Colin smiled

"That's good then." Colin said

"What about you, what did you do yesterday? Other than erasing everything in town." Alice said

"I supervised everyone's work." Colin replied with a smirk and Alice punched him in the chest

"So you already knew what we up to yesterday? So why did you ask?" She said and Colin wrapped his arms around her.

"I just wanted you to stay longer." Colin said and brushed a strand of hair out of her face, causing her face to become even redder. Colin leaned in and planted a kiss on Alice's pink lips, and she didn't pull back. As the two of them kissed passionately in bed, the door burst open.

"Colin, I need-" Lily said, but paused when she saw the two of them in bed, Alice's face red and Colin looking annoyed.

"Sorry for interrupting." Lily said and was about to leave, but Alice stopped her.

"No don't worry about it, what did you want?" Alice asked with a pleasant smile on her face

"W-well, I was going to call my mother today and Colin said he wanted to talk to her so." Lily said

"Oh right, give me a few minutes to get ready." Alice said and her body was covered in shadows before she teleported into her room.

"I see the two of you have gotten pretty close." Lily said, with mischievous smile

"Yes, we have." Colin said and lied back down in his bed. Lily walked over to the bed and lied beside him, facing in his direction.

"So, what exactly do you plan on saying to my mother? I'll warn you since you are my friend, but just because she's in another realm doesn't mean she can't hurt you. Demon Kings are extremely powerful demons, with powers that you couldn't even imagine." Lily said in a serious tone

"Don't worry, I won't be impolite." Colin said

"Good, now go get ready. You need to look presentable if you are going to meet my mother for the first time." Lily said and pushed him off the bed, while swinging her tail idly

"Yes, ma'am." Colin said, visibly annoyed, and entered the bathroom.

Fifteen minutes later, the three of them met up in Lily's room. Alice chose to wear a beautiful black dress that only reached her knees. Colin shoes to wear a black dress shirt and white pants along with white sneakers.

"Nice." Lily said, admiring their human fashion

"We do look nice don't we. Although Colin could use a barber." Alice snickered

"Hey, it isn't my fault. Razors break whenever they touch my hair." Colin said and he was telling the truth.

"Calm down, I'm about to activate the crystal ball right now." Lily said and she took out a large white crystal ball and channelled her demonic energy into it. Both Colin and Alice couldn't help but be nervous as they wondered what a Demon King was like. Based on their own experience, each tier was substantially stronger than the last, making the difference as clear as night and day. Not only physical might, but the sheer amount of knowledge that a creature who have lived thousands of years has would be nothing short of astronomical. They also knew that a demon's instinct for violence and malice was very strong, even to them, a demon who have lived for a thousand years with these instincts would be very cunning and dangerous. These wild thoughts fueled their anxiety as the crystal ball glowed red. A figure made of shifting darkness, that had goat like horns, a tail, a feminine shape and glowing pink eyes soon appeared, causing the two of them to feel even more nervous.

"Lily darling, it's only been a few days. You really do miss your mommy don't you?" Asmodious said in a happy high pitch voice, as her dark figure danced in joy. Alice and Colin looked at this scene, stunned as they never expected this to be what a demon would be like.

"Mom, calm down will you." Lily said, as her cheeks turned red in embarrassment

"Huh, whose that delectable young man, is he you boyfriend? Has he been taking care of you well?" Asmodious asked with a mischievous wink, causing Lily to become even more embarrassed. Alice started to growl angrily as her fangs extended from beneath her lips.

"Oh, and you also have a cute little vampire. How adventurous, you naughty girl." Asmodious said and Alice blinked, before calming down

"Mom, this is Colin and this is Alice." Lily introduced

"Oh, I already know that darling. And I'm guessing the reason you called, is because you want to discuss his strange status and weird skills with me." Asmodious said in a serious tone, her personality doing a total 180, sending a chill down Colin's spine. Colin tried to say something, but a force held him in place, not allowing him to even speak.

"I'll be the one asking questions...darling." Asmodious said with a huge smile, showing an array of red fangs in her mouth and her eyes became red, sending a chill down everyone's spine.
