Over the course of the next five hours, Castiel brought in a dozen tier 4 beasts and threw them inside the [Holy Territory]. The beasts weren't dead, but they were missing limbs and severely injured with spikes made of pure holy energy sticking out of their bodies, slowing down their regeneration. The beasts ranged from different species that lived in the mountain, and each time Castiel came back, he looked ragged and was covered in injuries, making the others worried about him, but he didn't stop. After five hours past, the golden cocoons broke open and large ants covered in golden metal like carapace came out. One ant was larger than the others and seemed somewhat more intelligent than the others, this one was obviously the queen. Looking around, she soon spotted the struggling demonic beasts, who were weakened by the [Holy Territory] and screeched. The dozen tier 4 ants that were left quickly brought the struggling beasts to their queen and she quickly devoured all the screaming beasts. The other ants also started devouring the corpses of their fallen siblings until they had their full, before moving the remains of the corpses into the network of old tunnels that was filled with cursed ores. The [Holy Territory] had already stretched into those tunnels and the cursed ores were slowly being drained of their demonic energy and being changed into divine ores.
[Synthia you're up, you need to use the [Taming Talisman] now.] Castiel said, the five of them have already taken refuge in a tunnel adjacent to the chamber the ants were in.
[Right, but we only have one. It would be a lie to say that I'm not even the least bit nervous.] Synthia said as she took out a blue, rectangular piece of paper with golden runes written into it's center. This was a [Taming Talisman], an item that gave the users the ability to tame any beast that they place it on. This was a crucial part of their plan, the queen ant would continue to produce more and more offsprings and they will no doubt become the top of the food chain within the mountain. To mine divine ores and collect soul crystals safely, they need to tame the ant queen, making sure that she and her offsprings will not kill them while they were mining the divine ores.
[Don't think like that, if you do, you will definitely fail and all my hard work would have gone to the dogs....or the ants in this case I guess.] Castiel said and Synthia paused for a moment
[Don't you mean all our hard?] Synthia asked
[Not if you screw this up.] Castiel said and Synthia sighed. She walked out of the tunnel and looked at the new queen ant before channeling her holy energy throughout her body. She quickly dashed towards the queen and the ants instantly became aware of her presence. Spikes of golden metal were sent flying towards her and she quickly spun around, releasing a wave of flames that pushed away the flames, before she released a burst of flames from beneath her legs, propelling her towards the queen ants. The Queen created a golden wall between the two of them and Synthia slashed her sword at the wall, cutting it in two. As the top of the wall slid off, the queen readied her mandibles to chomp Synthia in two, but when the wall fell, she was confused as the angel wasn't infront of her.
Suddenly, the queen felt a powerful force strike her on her back, causing her to lay flat on her stomach. Golden sparks lit up all over the queen's body and she could feel something invading her mind. She thrashed her giant body wildly, and Synthia struggled to hold onto her back and keep the [Taming Talisman] in place. It should take a minute for the entire process to be complete and queen's mind to be dominated, but Synthia was unsure how long she could hold on. Feeling the pest on her back, the queen manipulated her carapace and created a spike that pierced through Synthia's stomach.
'Damnit.' Synthia thought as she coughed up some blood. She lifted her hand, covered in golden flames and punched the queen in her back, causing her to slam into the ground again and screech in pain. Just as the queen was about to manipulate her carapace again, a shard of earth struck her in the face. Looking in the direction the earth shard came from, she screeched in rage when she saw the four other Angels standing in the tunnel. The other ants instantly rushed towards them in a berserk rage and Castiel quickly created a barrier of fierce winds.
"You ungrateful bastards, you dare to attack me after I worked my ass off to feed you." Castiel said as they assaulted the barrier with their affinities. The queen ant charged at the barrier and crashed into it fiercely, destroying it and sending Castiel and the others flying.
"Fuck." Castiel said as he coughed up blood, he still hasn't fully recovered from his hunting expedition. The ants advanced towards the angels, clacking their mandibles excitedly.
"Stop!!" Synthia shouted and golden sparks lit up on the queen, causing her to stop and the other ants stopped as well, concerned for their queen. The talisman has entered its final phases and has almost completely integrated itself into the ant's mind, giving Synthia some control over the beast. The ant fought against the invasive power of the talisman, but it didn't have nearly enough willpower. Synthia watched as the talisman sunk into the creature's carapace and the runes soon lit up on it's back, making her sigh in relief.
