During the Dark Ages

The next day came about quickly, and every prepared for their missions. Claire sheared her blade on her hip, a bit regretful that she won't be able to go to Lake Malbec with the others, and instead was stuck with babysitting monstrous holy ants. Mr. Ziek tapped her on the shoulder and the two of them flew towards the mountain.

[I'm guessing you think this mission is going to be an easy one. That we are just going their to watch over the ants, well you're wrong. We are going their to make sure the [Divine Prism] stays intact, increase the queen's reproduction, the ensure the growth of the ant colony and the [Holy Territory]. Do you understand what that means?] Mr. Ziek asked through [Telepathy] and after thinking for a few seconds, she shook her head. Admitting that she didn't fully understand what they were going to do and Mr. Ziek smiled widely.

[It means that we are going to hunt tier 4 Demonic beasts for the next two or so weeks. Feed their soul crystals to the [Holy Core] and feed their corpses to the queen. We are going to make sure as many ants as possible can evolve into tier 4s so that we can gain ample exp.] Mr. Ziek said and Claire's eyes widened, finally understanding their mission.

[So you see, the next two weeks of your life, is going to be hell. Don't say I didn't warn you.] Mr. Ziek said

The eight angels flew towards Lake Malbec, making sure to avoid detection as much as possible. Mark and Kate alone wasn't enough to cover all of them in a [Light Shroud] which is where Tim came in, using his own [Light Affinity] to aid them. As they flew, they went over the plan.

[The lake is a natural fresh water source so no doubt that many beasts would be gathered around it. Their should be many tier 3s and a few tier 4s. Our goal isn't to eliminate all the beasts, but to place the [Holy Core] under the lake. Once the [Holy Territory] is created, it's our win.] Synthia said

[But, a newly formed [Holy Territory] is pretty small. So unless we can breathe under water....can we breathe under water?] Mark asked, a bit unsure and Castiel nearly laughed out loud

[No we can't. And I understand what you are getting at, which is why we are going on a little side quest, if you want to call it that. We are going to hunt tier 4 Demonic beasts for their soul crystals and feed them to the [Holy Core].] Synthia said

[How many soul crystals would we need? The lake has a depth of a hundred and twenty meters and based on what you said yesterday, a few soul crystals isn't gonna cut it.] Roxy asked concerned

[Not all soul crystals contain the same amount of energy. Plus, we don't necessarily have to give it enough to cover the entire lake. Just enough for it to become strong enough to withstand assaults from tier 4 beasts.] Castiel said

[And how much would that take?] Kirt asked

[How the hell should I know? Fifty or so.] Castiel replied

[Now, that brings us to the question of who exactly will place the core. I don't think any of us, former humans, can do it. There are bound to be demonic beasts living inside the lake since there were animals living in the lake before this apocalypse started. So, who is gonna do it?] Tim asked

[Castiel will do it, he is the fastest out of all of us, and a pretty good swimmer.] Synthia said

[Anymore questions?] Synthia asked, but no one asked anything

[Good, let's go hunt some tier 4s.] Synthia said
