Chapter 287 House of Wraith

Another week past, and it was time for the angels to harvest the fruits of their labour. The ants have grown splendidly in the last two weeks, and the [Holy Territory] has expanded to cover the entire mountain and a part of the forest. They have discovered large deposits of Divine ores within the tunnels dug by the ants throughout the entire mountain, which now resembled a large ant hill that extended way below the surface. The queen has layed thousands of egg during those two weeks, and with the intervention of both Claire and Mr. Ziek, the offsprings didn't need to kill each other like before.

They brought them live demonic beasts to kill and gain both exp and nutrients until they were able to hunt on their own, and because of this, the colony possessed hundreds of tier 4s and the queen as well as the dozen original ants all evolved into tier fives after dragging and killing beasts within the [Holy Territory]. Of course, due to the functions of the [Holy Territory], Claire and Mr. Ziek also gained exp from this. Allowing Claire to evolve into a tier 4 lesser Mature Angel. Ever since that strange earthquake that shook the entire continent a week ago, a lot of tier 4s could be found around in that section of the continent. Which they were thankfully for since it allowed them to speed up the ants rate of growth, but it also worried them. And they knew it was only a matter of time before tier 5s start to appear.

[The mountain is ready to be harvested. Send over some people for the mining operation and we can also start hunting them. The number of tier 4s have reached the thousands.] Mr. Ziek reported

[Thank you, the farm is almost ready as well. We just need to set up some housing and we will be good to go.] Sera said, and indeed, her hard work over the past two weeks have paid off. The [Holy Territory] have expanded to a hundred meters around the entirety of the lake and with the lake having an area of 2 kilometers, it was quite a bit of land, plus with their unique affinities, they could figure out some innovative ways to use that small piece of land. But, even though she did a lot of the work, she couldn't take all the credit, after Claire evolved, she recruited Castiel to help her while the others were being trained, harshly, by Synthia.

[I'll bring a team over along myself and Synthia. I'll send Mark and a few of the others to the lake to set up housing and start the farm.] She said and ended the conversation. She pulled two pieces of paper, filled with names of individuals who possessed [Plant Affinity], [Water Affinity] and other affinities that could be useful at the farm. She was surprised that they had more than five individuals with [Plant Affinity], which will help to alleviate the stress on Mark. As for the other paper, they possessed the names of those who would head to mines and also shifts that they would work in. Not everyone could leave City B as the children needed to be taken care of, and the angels were too busy to do that. Plus an angel was needed to remain here to watch over everyone and make sure something doesn't happen.

[Alright everyone, gather in the core room.] Sera called all the Angels in the city.

"Alright, now that everyone is here, we need to decided who is going where and an effective schedule to rotate everyone's locations. Now, I know all of you are looking forward to gaining exp from fighting the ants, but not all of you will be able to go at the same time. So for now, five will head towards the mountain, including me and Synthia." Sera said

"What about me?" Castiel asked with perturbed look on his face

"You will remain here and make sure nothing happens. Don't worry, you will get your chance to go." Sera comforted her grumbling friend

"How exactly are we supposed to decided something like this? By drawing lots?" Roxy asked confused and both Sera and Synthia looked at each other before shrugging their shoulders.

"Sure, why not?" Synthia said and quickly prepared five lots and held them in hand

"Three of these pieces of paper is red. Those who draw the red ones will come with us." Synthia said with her iconic smile

"Uhm, why are their only five? There are seven of us to choose from...well six since Castiel isn't coming either way." Kate asked, causing Castiel to grumble once more

"Mark isn't coming, he has to look after the farming operations." Sera said, and Mark immediately became sullen as he realized that his job was gonna make him miss out on an opportunity to grow stronger than the others.

"Don't worry buddy, you'll get your chance soon." Kirt comforted his friend, but his eyes and condescending smirk gave a different message, which caused Mark's eyebrow to twitch. They then drew lots and the order was decided. The ones who will head to the mountain were Sera, Synthia, Kate, Tim and Roxy.

"Hahahahahaha." Mark laughed as he looked at the dark expression on Kirt's face.

Everyone headed out in their seperate groups, Synthia and her group headed to the mountain to farm levels along with those chosen for the mining team. Mark headed to the lake with both the angry Kirt and Simon in tow, along with the farming team. Castiel stayed behind in the city, to take care of those that remained behind and to prepare for the influx of Divine ores, by gathering those with [Earth Affinity] to create forges according to the blueprint that Sera left behind.

"This sucks, I wanted to level too. I want to become a Divine One so badly." Castiel said frustratedly as he watched the humans below working on constructing buildings outside the mansion. The city was still baren thanks to Master Foustus, and their constant training had left craters everywhere, but that was nothing that couldn't be fixed. He looked out into the distance and he suddenly had an ominous feeling as large amounts of demonic energy gathered in the distance and he quickly took out Sera's spyglass and looked in the distance. He zoomed in and he shivered at what he saw. A large black domain made of swirling miasma and around it flew red creatures with black wings on their backs and he instantly recognized these creatures.

High Imps.

"Fuck." Castiel cursed as he counted more than a dozen of them

[Everyone, I think we might have a problem.]
