NEXT DAY
Rosie was in a beige and red dress. She hide herself in a disguise so that Prince Regent's man can't find her. She covered her head with a red hood. She walked into the busy street of the city. She was pretending to be like the rest of the people, so she didn't throw off her suspicion as she was a runaway. She went shopping from vendor to vendor.
"Prince Regent this is the only way in and out of the capital," said Commander Wang.
"Good. Make sure that no one gets through unless they have a pass," said Prince Regent.
"Alright."
Prince Regent looked at the line of people trying to exit the capital. None of them looked like her. Even with his true illusion he still couldn't find her. He sighs in frustration.
"Prince Regent, you should try to get some rest," said Commander Wang.
Prince Regent waved his hand at him.
"Please, your highness you have been up all night and all morning."
"No. I must find her. She's still here."
"Prince Regent, she won't be able to leave."
"No. She's a smart woman. She will try anything to leave. I must not let her go."
"Alright." Commander Wang turned back to his man and shouted, "Keep searching and move the line along."
"Yes," said one of the soldiers.
Prince Regent was rubbing the bridge of his nose. Then he suddenly had the urge to want to go to the market. "Hmm…" he frowned. "I'm going to leave for a bit. I will be back."
"Yes, your highness. Do you want any of the hidden soldiers to follow you?"
"No. I'm fine alone. No one follows."
"But-"
He disappeared before Commander Wang could protest.
"He always do that," complained Commander Wang.
Prince Regent was walking down the busy street of the capital. He was looking at stuff that was being sold on the market. He went from vendor to vendor.
"Oh, how pretty," said Rosie. She was looking at a hair pin of butterflies.
"Yes miss. It's a beautiful hairpin, isn't it?" said the merchant.
"How much is this?" asked Rosie, smiling happily at the jewelry.
Prince Regent thought he heard her voice. He looked up and turned his head around a few times.
"I will sell it to you for a cheap price."
"Really?"
"Yes."
Focusing his hearing on her voice he turned to his right and saw her. She was hiding in disguise just like he thought. He felt like his heart leap out of his chest as he found her again. He smiles she was admiring the hair pin in her hand. He was going to walk over to her, but he was afraid she might sense him, so he decided to observe her. He pretended to look at the items next to him.
"Alright, I will buy it." Rosie handed him a few coins and took the hairpin with her.
Prince Regent thought how lovely of her to take in liking for butterflies. He smiled as he looked at her.
Rosie, feeling someone's eyes on her turned around and saw Prince Regent. She silently gasped. Her hands clenching onto the hairpin. She couldn't believe that he was just across the street from her. She pretended not to see him and turned around. She started walking away.
Prince Regent realized that she probably noticed him, so he had to tread lightly as she might run away. He was trying not to follow to closely but keeping her within his distant. He was going to wait until there was less crowd before he made a move on her.
"Don't panic, he probably doesn't know that it's me. I'm in disguised," sighs Rosie. Then she pretend to go to another stall and picked out some random things. Soon the crowd were becoming less. Then suddenly a big carriage drove into the middle of the street. It was blocking him from seeing her. She was going to have to make a run for it.
"Shadow," said Rosie.
Her white horse appeared in front of her.
Prince Regent was trying to run to her, but he was blocked by some people and the carriage. "Move," he said.
"Make way for the Prince Regent," said one of the soldier, who noticed him.
The people started to scatter from him.
"Princess," said Shadow. The white horse bow to her.
"Come on, let's go," said Rosie. She grabbed onto the horse's reins and got on top. "Go!"
"Get her," said Prince Regent.
"Yes, your highness," said one of the soldiers.
"Hurry," said Rosie.
Shadow neigh loudly and made a run for the gate.
Commander Wang noticing a white horse was making a run towards the gate. He looked behind the woman and saw Prince Regent running behind. His eyes widened as it's probably the woman he's looking for. "Close the gate!" he shouted.
The soldiers, hearing his command, started to close the gate.
"Shadow!" shouted Rosie.
"We can make it, Princess," said Shadow.
"HALT!" shouted Commander Wang.
The soldiers took out their bow and arrow.
"NOOOOOOOO! Don't shoot!" shouted Prince Regent.
Commander Wang kicked the bow and arrow from the soldiers hand. "Don't you dare!"
The soldiers got down on their knees and begged for forgiveness.
Prince Regent couldn't summon out his golden dragon for there were too many people. He saw that she was going to make a run for it. He flicked out a beam and hit Rosie on the back.
"Ahh," exclaimed Rosie.
"Princess?" asked Shadow.
"Keep going."
Shadow nodded. She leaped into the air right before the gates closed.
"CRAP!" shouted Commander Wang. "Open the gate! Open the gate!" he exclaimed to the soldiers.
The soldiers opened the gate again.
"Follow her," shouted Commander Wang.
"No. Don't follow," said Prince Regent.
"What?"
"I got her already."
"You what?"
"I marked her already."
Commander Wang thought back to earlier. Prince Regent did shoot out a light beam at her. That wasn't an attack but a tracker on her. "Oh, that's great your highness. Shouldn't we follow her?"
"No. No need to. Let her run until she's tired out. I will take her by surprise." Prince Regent smiled handsomely as he watches her ride away with her white horse.
