CHAPTER 17: MARRY ME

When Rosie woke up the next following morning, she found that Prince Regent was not lying next to him. He was not in the bed or anywhere in sight. She frowned and got up to dressed. When she opened the door, Prince Regent was standing in the patio, overlooking the kingdom.

"You're awake?" asked Prince Regent.

Rosie answered, "Yes."

"Oh." He turned around to her and smiled at her beautiful appearance. He reached out his hand to her and said, "Come."

Rosie frowned. This time instead of stepping backward, she stepped forward and put her hand in his.

Prince Regent smiled widely in front of her. He pulled her into his embrace.

"Prince Regent, there are people."

"So?"

"It's rather embarrassing."

"Let them look. Let them see my love for you." He looked her into her beautiful red eyes. "Only you." He stroked her cheek.

Rosie blushed.

He chuckled at her shyness. "How was your sleep?"

"It's good."

He brush the hair out of her face. He then whispered, "When are you going to give me a child?"

"Huh?" gasped Rosie.

He chuckled loudly. "I have taken you for two days. Filling you with all of my seeds."

"Ah. Um. I don't think it will work on the first try."

"Oh. Why is that?"

"Because you see, it might take a while as I'm on my monthly cycle right now."

"Oh. I guess that's okay too."

"Um... If you say so."

"It's alright. I got plenty of time to impregnant you."

"Huh? What do you mean?"

"It means I get to bed you more. Next time let's try other positions. Some poses where I can get my seeds deeper inside of you. To ensure your pregnancy."

"Um, Prince Regent, let's take it easy for a little while. I don't want a child just yet."

"Why not?"

"Because I'm not ready."

"But I'm ready."

"But-But I think during this time of chaotic having a child is not the best time."

"You're right. We should wait until I take the throne." He kissed her gently on the lips.

"Mmmph."

He held her around the waist and said, "We can take our time. We got a lifetime, as we will be together for a very long time."

"A lifetime?"

"Yes." He kissed her more deeply this time.

"Prince Regent," puffed Rosie. "We should really take this inside the room."

He smirked handsomely at her. "Yes. Yes we should."

Rosie opened the door and led him inside.

Prince Regent twirled her around to into his arms. "It doesn't matter if it's a dragon or a phoenix. As long as it's our child."

"What?" gasped Rosie. "I-I-"

"I know you're still wary of me, but trust me you're the one for me."

"You and me, we're-"

"We're exactly the same. We want peace. We want to live in a life of harmony." He rested his head on her shoulder.

"Prince Regent, I cannot watch you love another woman but me."

Prince Regent chuckled. "Who says I need anyone else but you." He lifted his head and caress her face. "Rosie, you're all I ever wanted."

Rosie gasped. "Prince Regent, I-I-I-"

"Say you will marry me."

"What? I-Huh?"

"Say yes."

"I-I-I-"

"I have already claimed your body. Taken your heart."

"You did take my virginity. You have stolen my heart. But-"

"You're carrying my child."

"I'm not."

"Shh. Not yet. But you will be soon."

"I-Prince Regent. I really-"

"What else is there to deny? Our bodies collided well, our sex is great, and our magic is one of kind. We're rare and powerful."

"I-I have I truly fallen in love with you?"

"Of course, or else why would you let me have you body the way I did?" He licked her neck sending shivers down to her core.

"Ahh. I think I have fallen in love with you then. Maybe with all your following and sweet words."

He smiled at her and said, "That's good. Because it's worth all of it and all those time of chasing you."

"Yes. You have chased me for a while now."

"Rosie, my dear Rosie, you have no idea how long I have been looking for you."

"Umm… about that, I want to asked you why? Why were you looking for me"

Prince Regent chuckled softly. "Rosie do you know when you came, you brought something I have never had before."

"What is it?"

"Hope."

Rosie looked up at him.

"You gave me hope. The power to live on. The power to fight on. The will to fight against evil. For that I will never give you up. You're a beautiful woman and also have the powerful phoenix. Someone who is in my same league. Someone whom I searched all my life for. Someone I want for eternity."

"You promise?"

"Yes. I am not my father or my step brother. I am me. I do not want a harem full of women, but a woman who will stay and fight with me till the very end. A woman who will help me ease my burden. A woman who can be my wife and bear my children."

"Children?"

"Yes. We will have about ten of them."

"Ten?" Rosie looked up at him with a shocking expression.

"What? You want twenty."

"Huh? What? No. That's too many. I will give you ten."

"Alright. Ten it is." He held her tightly in his arms. "We will have five boys and five girls."

"Umm, is that how it works? You determing the sex of the baby?"

"Yes. Yes, it is."

"Oh."

"I promise to make you my empress."

"Yes. If that's what you wish, my prince."

"Stand by my side and don't stray away." He was stroking her cheek.

"Yes, you got my words. I will stay with you as long as I am still breathing."

"Yes. Let's stay together till our hair turns white."

"Alright."

"In our love for each other, we will trust each other, won't betray one another, and stay loyal to each other. Can you promise me that?"

"Yes." Rosie nodded.

They held each other like that for a long time.
