Lance didn't need to read through the list, he knew the characteristics and bonuses of each race like the back of his hand, there was only one issue that was making it hard to choose a race.

In every MMO Lance's character name had always been his own, partially because he was incredibly lazy, but mostly because Lance is extremely cocky, wanting HIS name to be at the top of the leaderboards. This was also shown in his race, some might call it basic, as Lance's motif was choosing a human, that way he could customize to look exactly like him. The only issue with Lance doing this in AoV ( Ashes of Verra), was that he had a horrible reputation as of late.

The reason was mostly because Lance had destroyed the warehouse of 'Primordials' but it went deeper than that for him.

Lance was one of the founding members of the Mercenary guild "Berserk Design" meaning that other guilds would hire him to fill certain roles that were lacking in a party, in return, he was able to take 3rd dib on any materials/items that dropped. This was quite a common occurrence for Lance ever since his skills were broadcast live to over 150k people on Asmongold's stream.

One of these raids was with 'Primordials'. They had hired Lance as an OT (off-tank) for their raid against the [Daughter of Depravity], the raid went smoothly, Lance supported the MT (main-tank), sometimes taking over to allow them a chance to regain blood, at other times using [Sacrifice] to save a DPS (class that does high damage) from being obliterated by an ultimate attack, and after 40 minutes of blood sweat and tears, they had finally completed the raid. The issue was with what was dropped.

3 [Shards of Depravity] dropped, that being the main crafting material of the 2 handed sword [Depraved Bane], if things had gone according to plan Lance would've been able to pocket one of the Shards and in the future could craft and sell the sword for some quick cash.

But that dream was instantly crushed after the Raid Leader decided to make use of a glitch to crash Lance's game. Making him lose out on the chance for the material, and greatly infuriating him, he had just spent all that time carrying a raid, to be ripped off from his profit!

Luckily, the game was designed in a way that allowed Lance to have his get back.

[Monster Coin]

The Monster Coin was an item that allowed the user to transform into a weakened form of whatever creature dropped the coin, and the one that Lance had prepared for this moment came from [It Before Whom All Tremble] one of the Legendary World Bosses.

The only unfortunate part of Lance's plan was that Primordial's warehouse was held near the center of a metropolis, which meant that he would have to travel through half of the city to be able to destroy and loot the items inside of it, which means that there was going to be a lot of destruction to innocent bystanders during his rampage. But Lance had never cared for such a meaningless thing.

And as it always was with Lance, in the process of acquiring his due, he managed to piss off the entire city, if it wasn't his rampant shit-talking that did it, it would be the fact that he killed almost 3k players in the time it took him to get to his destination. Ultimately resulting in his capture and loss of gear.

The TLDR was that he didn't want people to know that he was Lance, so he was having a difficult time trying to figure out what to make his avatar.

"You know what, I'm not doing this" Lance took the option of just not giving a shit, and clicked the -Randomize All- button right of the mirror.

Lance's previous body went aflame, burning to ash that started to swirl and grow in height, forming a dark green head with large protruding tusks, and red tribal tattoos plastered over the right half of its face.

Lance's body had been reborn as a large Ren'Kai Orc, and feeling as to keep with the theme, Lance promptly named his character [-THE OGRE-] skipping all of the lore pages and going directly to class selection.

A row of tables with varied weapons appeared before the Robust body of Lance. Each held a floating nametag positioned above it.
