Chapter Thirty-Six

Ziza couldn’t help agreeing with her friends. She looked breath-taking, like a royal bride, like a princess. Amarah had once again outdone herself, though it’d been a team effort really. Kohl perfectly lined her eyes, making them pop in a way she’d never seen them, her makeup was perfect. Not a single hair was out of place. Ziza almost couldn’t recognise herself.

Maids from the palace, much to her embarrassment, assisted her prepare barely at the crack of dawn. The only reason she wasn’t falling flat on her face into a drooling mess were her hyper wired brain, it was as if she’d guzzled a full pot of Dhakhar’s strongest coffee.

They bathed her in creamy waters, waxed and massaged her skin from head to toe with fragranced oils. Things she’d only ever seen in spas on TV and never got to try out herself!
