Chapter 16

Ruhaan's POV

It's 5:30 right now. I closed everything, set aside the files, and stepped outside. I informed my P.A. that I'm heading home and also texted Arhaan that I'm on my way.

It feels unusual to leave work this early, considering I typically stay until 7:30. Making my way towards the parking lot, I called one of my workers to ensure everything was ready for the date.

I sincerely hope Tarini enjoys it. I've never orchestrated a date on my own, opting for something more creative than a mundane dinner outing. While I used to take my ex on dinner and lunch dates, I never ventured beyond the ordinary, perhaps because our connection wasn't profound.

Though I met Tarini only a few weeks ago, she makes me feel like a high school teenager eager to converse with their crush.

Upon reaching home, I parked my car outside instead of in the garage, as I planned to use it to pick up Tarini from her place. She had shared her address with me hours ago when I confirmed our date.
