GAMBER - Super Slow But it's a Double Edge Sword Skill

JONEL POV

As we stepped into the 2nd basement floor of the dungeon, I caught a whiff of an unpleasant odor.

"I think Carl farted," I mused.

"Don't look at me like that. I didn't fart because I'm in front of you. If I fart, you die," Carl defended himself.

Even though, Carl's defense didn't matter, as human figures with rotting bodies emerged from the ground.

The first thing I did was send my monster back to the ground near me.

"Nooo!" Elina exclaimed in fear of the increasing enemies. I swiftly attacked, grabbing a rock and hurling it at a zombie, causing its head to explode.

"It stinks!" Elina remarked, visibly repulsed. The two other women, much like Elina, covered their noses with handkerchiefs. Many monsters appeared, filling our path down.

"Back off for a moment, Carl! Aqua blast!" Anna's skill halted the monsters in their tracks.

"Purify!" Layla's spell dissolved the zombies that resembled monsters from the first floor. Layla seemed adept at handling these dungeons and their adversaries.

"One spell consumes the opponent," I thought, observing Layla's effective approach. It made sense for me to support her.

I noticed something missing from her, so I examined her closely.

'Perfect, she's beautiful. Maybe she belongs to a unique race.'

[Layla lvl 2 – human, HP – 120, mana – 15]

A small red figure emerged from Layla. Layla's information appeared, and I wondered if it was a bug, but my thoughts were interrupted as Elina caught me staring.

"Pervert," she said with a hand sign. I see you!

We proceeded to the stairs leading to the 3rd-floor basement, where we noticed a small, human-sized gap. We slipped through and continued our journey, landing in an area with a clearance of 10 meters by 10 meters. Only rocks and a bit of grass were visible.

"Safe room," Anna declared, noticing my head spinning almost 360 degrees.

We engaged in conversation about the state of the world, but no matter how we tried to shift to lighter topics, we inevitably got stuck discussing the end of the world.

'So I'm the only one who knows the mission and everything because of the system.' I discovered that they were from different countries and races, but the five of us understood each other.

Anna revealed she was from Ireland, Carl from England, Layla from the Vatican, and Elina from the UK. They assumed I was from asia due to my slightly fair complexion, but I proudly declared, "Filipino!"

"Huh?!" They were surprised, thinking I was from Yemen due to my darker skin tone. 'WTFREAK, are they brain-dead?' I thought, but I acknowledged that people in Yemen are beautiful, just like Filipinos. Beauty standards vary across cultures.

After resting, we felt hungry and quickly ate to regain our strength. Despite my suggestion to head back, the group insisted on exploring the 3rd-floor basement. As we ventured into the floor without a map, confusion set in. The area was filled with common skeletal monsters.

"Purify!" Layla moved to eliminate the monsters.

"Then why Elina, the scout?" I asked.

Elina turned her face to the side and replied, "I didn't allocate points to detection or any scout ability. I invested in throwing instead."

"Why don't you add more skills? You are level 3 now."

"I can't."

"Why?" I persisted...

"Because only with the skill to edit skills has an ability to add points to skills; that's their job."

Suddenly, a headless skull knight skeleton appeared in front of us.

[Semi-Boss Headless Skull Knight Skeleton – Level 6]

As I read this, I immediately shouted, "It's a semi-headless skull knight skeleton, and it's level 6!"

Without a second thought, the headless skull knight skeleton ran towards us, charging straight at us with its high sword, attempting to strike Carl, who was at our front.

"It's an impressive level 2 vs. level 6," I observed.

Then Elina threw a stone, Anna cast her fireball and Aqua Blast...

"Double cast?"

"...and Layla purified."

As I watched all of this, doing nothing, I realized,

"I must do something!"

I pulled out the stone I used to draw a rune in the beginner's cave – the same rune that could slow opponents. I drew four marks, but the problem was that the headless skull knight skeleton was too far away. I threw the bag of crystals while the headless skull knight skeleton fought with Carl.

"Carl is impressive at defending against its attacks. But I sense that Carl is parrying the sword!"

That's why Carl could hold on; he couldn't attack, but he could defend.

"Tanking swordsman!"

But looking at the girls, the damage wasn't so great. Then Layla used another skill, illuminating the headless skull knight skeleton a little but causing no damage.

"Stack!" The burn and cold effects of Anna's attacks made a little damage like poison damage, and Elina, who threw a stone at its hand when smashing, was so great to interrupt its attack.

But tired, sensing that Carl would want to break at any moment, we threw the bag of crystals we collected. I picked it up and threw it at the knight, and so it looked at me but suddenly ran towards me like an adult to a child.

I ran to the rune I created. After that, it stepped on my first rune.

'Perfect then. Then on another and another.' but Three of my runes lit up.

"Why?" all three has been use, is there a no limit? To rune? If unlimited, then I draw more!

"Ahhhhhhhhhh! It was stacking!" i almost forgot!

Layla didn't know, but her stack skill was overpowering in a situation like this. The headless skull knight skeleton kept attacking me so slowly, and Carl, once again, was here to defend us. The girls kept drinking a small potion created by an adventurer craftsman class in the guild while attacking.

We maintained the same pattern – Carl to defend, I drew runes again – but the headless skull knight skeleton was slower than before. Why was there no time effect? It didn't stop!

Then we let the headless skull knight skeleton step into another slow, but Layla's stack could stack another skill of stack – three times. And my runes, one stack skill, could stack three of my runes, so my slowing effect could stack nine times!

the 10th rune does not lit with after it step.

"This is crazy!" Even Carl couldn't believe how slow this semi-boss was.

"The headless skull knight skeleton is so strong!" Carl tried to stop the headless skull knight skeleton's sword attack but couldn't even parry, and so, Carl's guard shoulder armor was thrown off, smashed, and dented.

"Just dodge, Carl!" I said this, making him smile. What the freak!

It was slow, but the attack power remained the same. No, the headless skull knight skeleton's attack became nine times stronger, too!

"I see, that's why that werewolf shadow is so strong!"

Why do we feel no pressure now? We repeatedly attacked with any skill, even I threw a stone size of fist similar to Elina, and also Carl from being swordsman threw a rock the size of a basketball his strength is no joke. Really!

Anna attack with fire and water spell.

The headless skull knight skeleton, we attacked it with all our might, but it was defeated by Layla's final Purify.

After we kill it a big box appear and our system window with it, showing that who is greater contribution, we divide it with.

1-Layla, 2-elina, 3- anna, 4 -carl, and me the last.

You can only choose which shine item when you stand on the front of the chest, which will glow automatically. And if you force it, it will back like a magnet to chest if in inventory, it disappeared.

We pick the bag that I throw with monster core, and we leave, as we wait for the reward. We exchange information and more.

And as we promise next 3 days, but we need to rest for 2 days, before we go to the 5-floor basement.

  1. Can cast two skill at a time. Usually mage, sage, saint... other magical class can do this in any game in RPG. [still depend on game dev. , i think]
  2. a skill can use to opponent only that can stack a debuff or this can a buff for allies to multiply the effect by stacking multiply, usually use by religious class, like saint, priest, dark priest, shaman... and more.
  3. don't be shock!
