Section 1: Chapter 1

Once upon a time. A long time ago, there was an ordinary office—worker: her name was, Alisha; Alisha, Mondigo. She came from the Southern Philippines, Mindanao.

She, liked, mooncakes, and, bbq, skewers.

She, however, wasn't happy when a voice sounded from the sky. "Alien creatures will descend in three days' time, choose your class and prepare for battle." After the voice ended, a notification suddenly appeared in front of every single being, asking them to choose their class. At the same time, another notification appeared in—front of Mondigo, "Mana detected, 'Simulation —System', activated. Do, you wish to start simulating?"

"Yes," Alisha, jealously, replied.

"Where am, I?" Mondigo, asked. She was in a bright—lit room, resembling, some—what a dystopia. "Where am, I?" she— repeated. The bright—lit room, that resembled a dystopian—story, was covered in dust, and molds, cracks, and fissures. She didn't know, where she was; just, that— their room seemed entirely 'unfamiliar' to them.

"Welcome, to the Simulation System. We detected mana within your body."

"We will now proceed, with the attunement, of both your body and mind to mana," the System.

Alisha Mondigo, wasn't sure what to do. She paced around the room, hoping something bad wouldn't happen. Alisha, "felt", a gush of air, entering the room. She raised her nose up to the sky, and noted: a small vent, which she was sure would "aid" her escape. But. She didn't want to escape.

However, Alisha didn't want to escape. She noted, realized, that her life had been a boring mess. She didn't want to repeat it all over again by coming back. If she was going to come back, she was going to bring something with her.

Power.

Power was the dear—infrastructure of society, if she had power... she could get everyone to listen to her. However, that couldn't happen if she came back empty handed.

Alisha Mondigo, paced around the room. As, the white volume kept pouring into the room, Mondigo, could sense a change in her.

"What's that," she said to no—one, in particular.

"It's the mana infusion device, your body, already generates mana. However, we are attuning it to the flow of mana both inside and outside of the body."

"Without it, when the apocalypse starts there is no stopping what it could do to your body."

Mondigo, thought, for a while. What was happening? She thought. Maybe, if she, begged, it she could be released. However, that couldn't happen. At all. Because, if she did.

She'd be powerless.

"Mondigo — Alisha , as part of the star—authority we grant you the power to wield mana," the—System said. It echoed with a deep, reverberation, Alisha was stunned. Alisha, had never heard something of that, degree, before.

Alisha kept— pacing around the room.

When am I, going to be released? She thought. She kept thinking, maybe if she kept thinking she could get out of it.

The System wasn't letting on. Alisha's pacing kept pacening around the room.

Alisha, kicked a bucket. She was frustrated. Angry, actually. Her life, her whole life, had led up to that moment. Now, she was losing it.

Mondigo, Alisha, bent down to the ground— crouching in an open space, she wondered if she could escape it at all. What was wrong? She thought. It, had already been a few hours. Days. She wasn't sure, she had read a few books regarding space—time travel, and, she understood that she might be in a form of time—sphere dilation where time moved faster in "her" world than the outside.

Alisha, stood up, brushing off the dust in her shins— some of them had somehow wriggled their way into the fabric of her skirt, pourous material that seemed to over—flow from the dust on the ground.

"I'm, ready." Alisha replied.
