It was around 2 a.m. when we got home Robert helped my mom in the shower. I took out the vibratior and threw it out my window.
"Dumbass." I whispered.
"What did you just throw out?!" He yelled.
"The vibratior." I said.
He grabbed me by my hair and pushed me outside the house. "You're not coming back in until you bring it back!" He yelled and slammed the door.
I rolled my eyes. "I feel way safer out here then in there." I said with a smirk. However, I could hear someone walking in the woods by my house. I felt like someone was stalking me and getting closer.
"Maybe, it's a bunny." I lied to myself.
The noises came to a stop but nothing came out. I let out a sigh as I got really nervous and looked around the ground. It was hard as the leaves were all over the ground. Winter was approaching really quickly. It was already chilly out here but I could handle it. I found the pink mini vibratior and thought about destroying it with a hammer. I went to the back to look for one but I felt someone behind me.
"Who's there?" I asked.
"Fuk." I thought.
"Aponi!" I heard my mother calling from the front. I ran for it and met up front with her.
"Let's go." I told her as I walked inside with her.
I got a hammer from the kitchen cabinet.
"What do you need that for?" She asked all drunk.
"Something is loose in my room." I said before going upstairs.
Robert came after me and he saw me destroy his toy.
"You want it? Go get it." I said as I threw it out my window again.
He pointed his finger at me.
"Watch your back." He threatened me as he left my room.
I felt really proud of myself but I was really scared of what he was thinking now.
Early in the morning I left to go to Ina's house and tell her the news about the vase. I brought some cleaning supplies with me though.
"Really?!" She said as she jumped a little of joy.
"That's great news!" She added.
I smiled but I wasn't to happy though.
"What's wrong?" She asked as she noticed me not to excited.
"I think I got used to that environment that I think I'll miss it."
She laughed. "Oh, don't worry. You'll do something better with your life. Now, that you left that horrible place."
"Ina it wasn't that bad. I promise."
"Mhm." She wasn't convinced.
"I came to clean your house." I informed her as I looked around.
"What?" She questioned me. "Wow! Didn't you do enough of that at his house?" We both laughed. I wasn't kidding though.
I got to cleaning and it was about time for me to go. I didn't want to go but I didn't want Robert to show up.
"I'm leaving but I'll be back tomorrow. I didn't get to finish." I said as I frowned a little.
"Wait! I want to give you something." Ina said as she took out a small box.
"Oh no! You shouldn't have."
"I didn't buy it." We both laughed.
I looked inside and it was a necklace but with a wolf tooth attached.
"It was my dogs tooth."
"Oh, no! I can't." I tried to back away.
"Please, just wear it. It'll make me really happy." She insisted.
I sighed.
"It will protect you from evil." She added.
"Okay." I agreed when she said that.
She put it around my neck.
"Well?" She questioned me.
I looked at her with a serious face. "I love it!!" I shouted with a big smile plastered across my face.
"Alright, alright. Get going. Your family will get worried." She stated as she pushed me out the door.
I just laughed and waved goodbye. I was walking down the street when I noticed a car that looked familiar drive by. I almost made it home. My assumptions were right when it stopped a little ahead of me. He got out the car and I didn't want to see him.
"I came to drop off your stuff." Suga said.
"Wasn't my lawyer going to do that?" I questioned him.
He shrugged.
"I wanted to ask you something." He said.
I got curious but I couldn't help but feel angry.
"Can you take me to Mrs. Ina's house?"
Now, I got more upset. "Why?!"
"I wanted to apologize to her." He softly said.
It got quiet but Ina deserved it.
"Okay but when you see her don't stare at her..." I ordered him.
"Why? What's wrong?" He asked looking at me confused.
"She has very bad burns all over her skin. So, please be respectful and don't be rude." I rolled my eyes as I informed him.
"Okay." He softly said.
He opened the door for me and I got in his car. He did a u-turn and we went back to Ina's house.
I knocked on her door but she didn't answer the door.
"You sure she's home?" He asked me.
"I just left a few minutes ago." My heart thumbed a little louder and harder.
Ina finally opened the door. I let out a big sigh.
"Ina! You almost gave me a heart attack!" I held my chest with my hand.
"Why?"
"You took forever to open the door! I thought something happened to you."
"You know I'm old. I'm not like you or your boyfriend." She gazed at Suga.
"Ina that's Suga!"
"Where's your glasses?" I walked around her to look for them.
"Suga come help me." I ordered him. Ina just chuckled as she couldn't remember.
"What were you doing before opening the door?" Suga asked.
"I was about to sew some mittens." She replied.
Me and Suga went to the table where she was sewing and that's where they were at.
She took a seat and her gaze shifted to Suga.
Suga came to kneel in front of her.
"What are you doing?!" She gasped.
"I came to apologize for what I said and did to you." He said bowing down in front of her.
"Get up." She ordered him.
He didn't do it.
"Come on."
He lifted up his head and looked her in her eyes. "I'm really sorry for how I mistreated you. I won't ever do it again."
I smiled as I liked how he was acting like a real man until Ina pointed at me.
"Shouldn't you apologize to Aponi though? She's the one that went in my place to suffer the consequences."
Suga blushed and I didn't want him to apologize because he didn't know.
"He already apologized!" I lied to her. I went to grab Suga arm to pull him up.
Ina squinted her eyes at me. "And you forgave him?" She asked disappointed.
"He didn't know it was fake."
"Son, if you never find that vase you cherish so much. I'll give you one of mine when I die."
"Ina! Those are yours and they mean a lot to you."
"You collect vases too?" Suga asked really surprised.
"My husband would make them for me. He did that for a living."
Suga began to tear up.
"Sorry, my dad was the same. I miss them so much."
"They both died?" She asked.
He nodded his head as he looked away trying not to cry. I couldn't help but feel really bad for him.
"One day you'll see them again. Whether here or up there." She pointed up.
This was getting to sad. I interrupted them.
"Alright, it's now dark outside. We should get going now."
"Don't worry. You're now protected." She smiled. She looked at my necklace as I went up to her to hug her goodbye.
She waved bye to Suga before we both left.
I waited for him to feel better before I brought up my question.
"Can I work for you?" I asked really nervous.
"My girlfriend does the cleaning now."
"Do you know if Soobin-"
"Are you serious right now?" He asked really disappointed.
I looked away as I knew they didn't get along.
"Why you want to work so bad now? You don't owe money? You don't want a career?" He questioned me.
"I'm not a kid anymore. I shouldn't be living with my parents. I need my own money." I lied.
"Robert is your step dad?"
"Yeah."
"Your his daddy's little girl then." He said as he parked the car in front of my house.
I then remembered how he saw us both together. I grew red and hot.
"If something is going on you have a lawyer now. Since, Soobin provided her for you."
"What?" I quickly looked at him to confirm it.
"Don't act like you two weren't working behind my back."
"I wasn't."
"I know you been stalking me throughout the house."
"I wasn't. I don't know what any of you were talking about. I promise."
"You been listening to everything this whole time."
"Suga-"
"Get out." He said really mad and looking out his window.
I just looked at him really upset. I got out and so did he. He threw my stuff on the ground before leaving really fast.
"Jerk!" I shouted as he left my house. "Asshole! I should say."
I brought my stuff in and it took awhile.
