This is the world where Shye Crowley and his sister were born.

As the children of two fairly known diamond-ranked adventurers, Shye and his sister, Maia, enjoyed a prosperous lifestyle.

Unfortunately, after departing for a mithril-ranked quest in hopes of ranking up, their parents couldn’t return.

Years passed and life went downhill fast for the siblings.

Fortunately, a fateful encounter bestows him a system that could change their fate.

Shye simply nodded at the old man and drew a long-distance teleportation magic circle on the ground.

"If there's nothing else, then I'll take my leave."

Hearing his parents' voice, Shye couldn't help but momentarily stop.

However, he wasn't ready to talk to them yet, as he needed time to recover from the shocking revelation that he and Maia were deliberately abandoned, regardless of whether they were convinced or duped or whatever by the old man.

Still, since they were his parents, he couldn't bring himself to totally hate them.

Hence, he decided to let time heal his broken heart first, and then, once he was ready, he would talk to them.

"Mom, Dad, Take care of yourselves…"

After saying his rather lackluster words of farewell, Shye stepped on the magic circle and disappeared.
