Chapter 39: Easing Tensions

Ruth Dawn lay on the table, trembling nonstop.

William Cole, as if not seeing all this, was quietly eating his steak.

Until Ruth Dawn had finished crying, William Cole did not comfort her.

"I'm done eating, I'll leave first," William slowly stood up.

Just as he turned around, Ruth Dawn suddenly stood up, grabbed William's hand, and fell into his arms.

Ruth Dawn's body was soft, exuding a faint scent.

This was the first time in three years of marriage that William had held Ruth!

"Can we… not divorce, please?" Ruth pleaded.

In William's heart, something unexpectedly softened; he was about to agree to Ruth's request.

William admitted, he still loved Ruth, but… he really couldn't accept his wife being with another man!

Every time he remembered yesterday's events, William's brain went red.

Just as he was about to refuse...

"Ah! Grandpa! What's wrong with you?

Someone come! Save my grandpa!

Help, help! Someone, please call an ambulance!" a ripping cry of help was heard.
