Chapter 270: Having a Heart-to-Heart with the Ex-Wife

When William Cole and Ruth Dawn left, the woman sat in the passenger's seat, beaming at him: "If you had been such a man before, I would have fancied you ages ago."

In the tight cabin, her tone was warm. "Oh."

William sighed: "Before, I was just a despised son-in-law to all the people of the Dawn family."

"So I sought to make do and fulfill, to do my best, to take on all housework, just so you guys could regard me in a slightly higher light."

"Unfortunately I was mistaken, the more I did, the more I was bullied in the eyes of the Dawn family."

Ruth wondered: "Why suddenly say all this?"

"Just suddenly felt like saying it." William shook his head.

"Are you still angry with the Dawn family?" the woman asked.

William chuckled: "No, I just recalled some past events and felt a bit sentimental."

"Oh, come on, you've changed a lot, if you still behaved like before, I'm sure I would have divorced you long ago." Ruth didn't hesitate to say directly.
