The taste of the chicken soup was indeed excellent.

William Cole drank three bowls in one go, his stomach bloated.

Edna Gordon didn't leave either, saying she would stay in the hospital room, worried there would be no one to look after William at night.

William shook his head, "Oh my god, I'm not that weak.

I just have a slight bruise under my ribs, it doesn't affect my movement, you should go home and rest."

Edna spoke quietly, "There's nobody back home either..."

"Alright then, sleep on that bed," he pointed to the empty bed next to him.

"Okay!"

Edna's face lit up with a smile.

Even William began to wonder if the woman was doing it on purpose.

Edna quickly moved the neighboring bed up and arranged it side by side with William's bed.

William looked confused, "What are you doing?"

Edna explained, "I'm trying to avoid falling off the bed, it's so small, what if I fall off during the night?"
