 She licked her lips and hesitated a moment, before taking the dice up into her palms.

She didn't dare let the anticipation keep her for too long. If she didn't quickly do what she intended, her hands would be far too shaky to accomplish it.

She gave a deep breath, and tossed the dice, leaning her weight forward as she did so.

Her hand felt awkward when the dice fell, and her heart sank when she realized that the little cubes had fallen to a single digit.

Snake eyes.

Reality itself was against her.

Of course, depending on what Alex and Octavian rolled, Phoenix could turn it around with his roll...

But it was only a slim chance.

Her shoulders slumped slightly in disappointment as she glanced at Phoenix.

It seemed to take him longer to roll, almost as if he was reluctant to do so. When he tossed the dice, his golden eyes were solemn, staring down the small cubes with distaste.
